Bryn Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 ****ing knackered. We play a relentless pressing game with two up front and have done all season, using a small squad. They're wiped! Hardly surprising the performance dipped after promotion. That little bit of relief just pulls the performances down a bit, adrenaline was probably keeping them going. Human? Entirely. Understandable? Completely. Will we still win the league? Probably. They've won the cunting league ffs. I cannot BELIEVE I've seen one individual call the players muppets and suggest he can't wait to see the back of them. I'm appalled.
Tielemans63 Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 Agree with everything you've said. Cue some knob saying they're professionals and therefore should never ever suffer fatigue.

Grewks Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 Agree with everything you've said. Cue some knob saying they're professionals and therefore should never ever suffer fatigue. I fail to see how fatigue is an excuse. We got better as the game went on...it isn't like we started brightly and faded. We were sloopy again, not enough moving, not enough quick passing, we just lacked the extra 5-10% which we have lost since getting the big P next to our name.
Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 Absobloodylutely. We just drew away at a play off hopeful. People should enjoy the rest of what has been an amazing season and give the players some slack instead of stick.
Ian W LCFC Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 The main reason for me is no Matty James. He is a massive player for us. Without him we fail to control the midfield.
DennisNedry Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 To be honest I think we actually played quite well tonight, the best since Burnley anyway. I understand frustration after a shit game like Brighton but today it was a decent performance imo.
Stadt Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 Yeah but they're paid thousands a week to kick a ball about for 90 minutes, they should never be tired ever.
copunk Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 maybe the morons slagging players off got too used to not losing for 21 games

Master Fox Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 Give it rest you bloody moaners. It was good enough. We're over line, two more wins and the title is ours. We've still to play some awful teams like Bolton and Doncaster.
PAULCFC Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 Let's be honest we haven't played all that well....or as well as we did a couple of months ago(Burnley excepted) for a few weeks now.
stevelcfc Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 I just think it may be a little bit of complacency, I don't think its tiredness, we've rotated the squad a fair bit in recent weeks and with our levels of sports science, I just don't think that's the case.

Bert Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 Let's also remember we've actually got one of the smaller squads in the league as well.
chapero82 Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 It's a blip and I'm glad it's happening now rather than 4 games ago
Gforce19 Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 They are not tired , it is the wrong word. We have achieved our objective of promotion and similarly to Bayern Munich since they won the league they are struggling to put together good league performances, the issue is more about having the 100% never say die attitude and with our objective achieved this is going to be hard to achieve, ( basically they are mentally already on their summer holidays !!!!!!!)

Sounds like you are on your holiday's as well!
Soar Fox Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 Just incase nobody saw it, Gforce said the players aren't tired. A bit like Bayern Munich.

Was going to compare us to Barca but now they are dropping out of their race for the league it needs to be a team of comparable status to us champions elect , ha ha
