Webbo Posted 15 May 2014 Posted 15 May 2014 If you get one of these boxes, you can watch any TV programme you want, a load of free sport and films. £50-£60 for the box, nothing more to pay.
ramboacdc Posted 15 May 2014 Posted 15 May 2014 i wouldnt have sky. im a virgin media man through and through. also means no dish on the side. if you get that too you also get BT sport for free instead of paying extra. they wont have to install a dish. may have to install a cable however but they dont have to dig up your driveway if need be. my dad had one and they stuck the wire in a bush next to the drive and cable covered it.

Webbo Posted 15 May 2014 Posted 15 May 2014 You can get the software on a laptop for nowt, XBMC I believe it's called. True, but I tried to download it and I ended up rebooting my my desktop. For us non-tech savvy it's a good solution.
Webbo Posted 15 May 2014 Posted 15 May 2014 What is that box? It's an Android box thingy with XBMC and all the useful add ons pre loaded.
Turtles Head Posted 16 May 2014 Posted 16 May 2014 We got an ok deal in the end. First 6 months all in for £33 per month including multi room. Then £63 a month thereafter with multi room. Keeps the mrs happy upstairs while I watch super sunday They are replacing the sky dish with a new one the advertised price was £78.50 with full package and multi room If you say that a friend recommended you to sky(they need to be a sky customer too), you both get vouchers. Was £60 each to use in tesco when I joined. If you don't know anybody with sky(highly unlikely but worth a shot), I'm a customer!
Trumpet Posted 16 May 2014 Posted 16 May 2014 True, but I tried to download it and I ended up rebooting my my desktop. For us non-tech savvy it's a good solution. You're right, can be a bit tricky getting it set up. I've not properly used it yet but fot sports and movies it seems really good.
stripeyfox Posted 16 May 2014 Posted 16 May 2014 Am 99% sure that sky go does not work through the HDMI cable from iPad to tv. At least not on a non jail broken iPad.
SystonFox Posted 17 May 2014 Posted 17 May 2014 I can't believe how Jewish some of you people are. "Use your mates sky go" I have a friend who charges his dad £10pm to connect to his sky go. Jewish to the max
