DennisNedry Posted 12 June 2014 Posted 12 June 2014 My memories of World Cups and Euros all sort of merge into one. I remember watching what I think was World Cup 2002 at primary school in the assembly hall on one of those TV on wheels things. The first WC I remember well was 2006, with the whole Rooney v Ronaldo saga.
goose2010 Posted 12 June 2014 Posted 12 June 2014 Gazza crying 1990 and Platt's Goal against Belgium, my old boy went mental about both, We should of won that world cup looking back we played with no fear and gazza was just outstanding.
blueblood88 Posted 12 June 2014 Posted 12 June 2014 France 1998 for me, although Euro 96 was my first tournament. Michael Owen's goal against the Argies will stick with me forever, amazing. We all know what followed...
Finnegan Posted 12 June 2014 Posted 12 June 2014 94 was my first properly. Watched most of it but Baggio is the memory that stands out.
Finnegan Posted 12 June 2014 Posted 12 June 2014 1994 Remember heading off to Primary School and prettending to be Baggio in the playground. So that's how you got in to rugby.
Ric Flair Posted 12 June 2014 Posted 12 June 2014 Gazza crying 1990 and Platt's Goal against Belgium, my old boy went mental about both, We should of won that world cup looking back we played with no fear and gazza was just outstanding. We were diabolical vs Ireland and Egypt though. We rode our luck massively against Belgium and Cameroon but we were absolutely sensational vs Holland and Germany the big teams. Unlucky not to go on and win it but hugely lucky as well. This year has a bit of an italia 90 feeling about it.
Marmite Posted 14 June 2014 Posted 14 June 2014 Gazza crying when we lost to the Germans in Italia 90
