PutneyBridgeFox Posted 22 August 2014 Posted 22 August 2014 Morning all, After following a few threads I see that some are interested in having a drink around London Bridge/Borough Market area. As I live & work in London a heads up to let you know that "improvements" work start @ London Bridge tomorrow from 09:00. The Underground should be ok but overhead journeys will be affected so keep an eye out on Twitter feed @ TLProgramme or website: ThameslinkProgramme.co.uk Enjoy the game everyone & here's to the god's shining on City! I shall be watching the game in the Famous 3 Kings West Kensington.
Soup Posted 22 August 2014 Posted 22 August 2014 Thanks for the heads up mate,I think its all underground from LB to Fulham Broadway but will check just to be safe.
ElusiveEd Posted 22 August 2014 Posted 22 August 2014 I know it's probably "Out there" to find but I'm gonna ask a quickie on here. I'm gonna park the car at LHR and tube it in. Whats the station I should be aiming for nearest to Stamford Bridge or for meeting fellow Foxes beforehand? Cheers.

For the stadium, picadilly line to Earl's Court from Heathrow, about 30 minutes, then either 2 stops on the District line towards Wimbledon to Fulham Broadway, or walk from Earl's court which will take about 20 minutes.

I've not been back to F3K since I watched us relegated to league one, it will be a good shout for anyone wanting to watch Villa Newcastle or Ipswich Norwich, or any other sport on TV before hand. They have multiple big screens with multiple different boxes so will show all sport on TV.

ElusiveEd Posted 22 August 2014 Posted 22 August 2014 I'd park at osterley if I were you, not much further in, and less hassle Cheers, but although I live in Leics I work for what was once the "Worlds Favourite" airline out of LHR so have the use of the crew car park so will just bung it in there and save a few £. Cheers again.
PutneyBridgeFox Posted 22 August 2014 Author Posted 22 August 2014 Do they have some dodgy Greek satellite or something? As the Captain quoted earlier they have numerous screens showing so many sports. They have done so for years now. How they do it (or get away with it) is beyond me but never had a problem as far as I know. A lot of my mates are Fulham & go there quite often to watch them (though maybe not now they are no longer prem!)
