The Year Of The Fox Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 To say, though they're both about the same topic. Despite Saturday's result I am feeling so proud of our players for the performance they put in Saturday. It really was a pleasure to watch. I just hope we match the performance level on Sunday for the whole world to see. Secondly, and the main reason for bothering posting today- Our fans. They were absolutely phenomenal on Saturday (and last Saturday) They gave me goosebumps listening on RL whilst bombing to a pub from work to watch the game. Then on the match choice thing on Sky after, it only reaffirmed that we really were that good. Not just when we played well but also when we conceded. You made us proud to support City Saturday evening. Let's keep it up for the rest of the season, regardless of scoreline/results and performances

Fox92 Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 Great post, I totally agree. Our fans were brilliant on Saturday. Superior to Chelsea who had the worst home support I've probably ever seen.
surrifox Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 Great post, I totally agree. Our fans were brilliant on Saturday. Superior to Chelsea who had the worst home support I've probably ever seen. the demographic of the Chelsea supporters has changed out of recognition even over the past 10/ 15 years; out have gone the hooli's and chavs ( OK there are still a few there but they probably work for hedge funds these days ) but they appeared to be outnumbered by members of the women's institute and ex public school types with their kids. The changing face of football - when I went there in the days of Osgood and Harris (them) and Dougan and Stringfellow (us) it was a brooding and very edgy place especially the shed end - only cost 1/6d to get in though.
fuchsntf Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 Dont forget, our fans are still riding awave, on a crest rippling with 2 good performances. Our chests are puffed out and there is a swagger about us, plus we have always been like a top wine, great travellers,.... but social media within ,once we have got the 1st 6-8 games under our belts will prove if we can keep riding those crests . From soccer pundits, we have always had great sympathy, so far the various channels pundits like what they see. What else I would like to see is that our fans build a reputation for being sympathetic towards others while still staying fan- atic towards the cause.
K1FOX Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 Loved it! Saturday was one of the better away days! Looked like the whole end upper tier and lower tier was getting involved! Just how it should be! Incredibly loud
