Russ112112 Posted 4 September 2014 Author Posted 4 September 2014 Perhaps start a petition bring back Hoggies
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 4 September 2014 Posted 4 September 2014 I forgot there used to be actual food
Guest MattP Posted 4 September 2014 Posted 4 September 2014 They were absolutely awesome. I also often had two as they were that nice. Is it my imagination or were they only available in the Carling stand? The days when fans weren't thrown a dog shit pie and expected to be grateful.

Guest MattP Posted 4 September 2014 Posted 4 September 2014 You could get Hoggies in the double decker lower. I was young back then but im sure i didnt imagine it Might be me but I'm sure we moved to a different part of the ground for a game and they weren't serving them. I had the arse for the whole match. Either that or my Dad couldn't be bothered to get me one.
Finnaldo Posted 4 September 2014 Posted 4 September 2014 Pork cob? With crackling?? At a Leicester game??? What did I miss out on
Fatbloke Posted 4 September 2014 Posted 4 September 2014 Yeah me too :-) they were great, you could have crackling, stuffing, even apple sauce, or none of the above, they cooked and carved them in front of your eyes and were very generous with the amount of meat you got, those days are long gone I`m afraid :-(
Bettsj2 Posted 4 September 2014 Posted 4 September 2014 **** me they were nice. Need to be brought up at the next fans committee meeting.
Fatbloke Posted 4 September 2014 Posted 4 September 2014 A Men to that who do we know on the committee ? not sure "brought up" is the right way of saying it though
veezeeblue Posted 5 September 2014 Posted 5 September 2014 funny .... the local staple tradition and games in sao paulo is the pork leg sandwich but they dont call it a hoggy though (pernil) http://www.futebolarte.blog.br/historia/comidas-de-estadio-pacaembu-sanduiche-de-pernil/
Rocket-Ron Posted 5 September 2014 Posted 5 September 2014 They had them at the back of the Kop. Can remember someone walking off with the sign after the last game of the season, and thinking that I wouldn't mind that. They did them in sk concourse a couple of seasons ago (currys also) but were about £6 and cold.
jammie82uk Posted 5 September 2014 Posted 5 September 2014 You could get Hoggies in the double decker lower. I was young back then but im sure i didnt imagine it There was 4 trays delivered every game, you could get them in both lower kiosks in the carling and in 1 kiosk upstairs and 1 kiosk at the bottom of the double decker
VLC86 Posted 5 September 2014 Posted 5 September 2014 Either that or my Dad couldn't be bothered to get me one. Oh shit, thats your childhood ruined. Your dad lied to you.
FoxInTheBirstallBox Posted 5 September 2014 Posted 5 September 2014 Funny thing is, i bet they wouldn't do it even if they had a huge majority vote, having to be all P.C. about it all and to not upset the minorities about having pork in the ground….Sad but probably true. thought night games and having pork cobs would be the absolute tits!

The club no longer do the food and haven't for quite a while it's whatever the contracted company compass want to sell
Guest seanfox778 Posted 5 September 2014 Posted 5 September 2014 You get those hog roast vendors at county shows/fairs and other public events can't we just have a few of them posted around the ground?
Larry_LCFC Posted 5 September 2014 Posted 5 September 2014 £2.50 is a fair price. Now its more like £5-6, as we found out when they put them in the concourses the other year. The kiosk soon disappeared charging that price. Ridiculous.
FoxInTheBirstallBox Posted 5 September 2014 Posted 5 September 2014 The club no longer do the food and haven't for quite a while it's whatever the contracted company compass want to sell I understand that, I work in the industry, I supply Stoke Derby Notts County ect ect But its just a shame that the club are powerless to bring stuff like this to the club. for example I finish work as and head straight to the club and i would be more inclined to spend more money in the club if they did proper lunches or things (like hoggies) for dinner
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 5 September 2014 Posted 5 September 2014 I'd happily slap down £5 a time. I was at a horse race last summer and they sold them, was fantastic but not the same without crackling. Suppose you could throw a bag of pork scratchings in though. And a couple of rashers of bacon
