johnny the fox Posted 30 October 2014 Posted 30 October 2014 http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/407769/worst-refereeing-decision-ever stinks the place out.
Stadt Posted 30 October 2014 Posted 30 October 2014 Eh? You'd think with the scoreline at 4-0 with 10 minutes left the home side players would tell the ref it wasn't a goal
Larry_LCFC Posted 30 October 2014 Posted 30 October 2014 I think the Ghost goal awarded by Stuart Twatwell in the Reading v Watford match is on par with that if not worse. I dread to think what he'll magic up on Saturday.
Guest Col city fan Posted 31 October 2014 Posted 31 October 2014 One of the worst ones I can remember (and really really aggravated me at the time) was Lampard's goal in the World Cup against Germany. South Africa I believe? The ball was so far over the line it could have been the size of a beach ball and still been a goal. The pub I was in went bonkers. Not that we would have won that game. We were shite..
Beliall Posted 31 October 2014 Posted 31 October 2014 imagine if you had a bet on 4-0. (the ref had 5-0 obviously)
Freesolo Posted 31 October 2014 Posted 31 October 2014 Mike Reed Leicester 5th round FA cup replay vs Chelsea 1997 give a penalty for a blatant dive in the dying minutes, All the top teams had been knocked out of the FA cup by this point and i honestly believe if we won this game we would have at least made the final, it was disgusting!
Vacamion Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 The commentator doesn't think it's the worst decision *ever*, he says it's the worst decision of the decade. I think it's up there with booking the wrong Arsenal player, allowing Roy Carroll to scoop the ball back from in the goal and the Watford ghost goal.
Donut Posted 1 November 2014 Posted 1 November 2014 Pedro Mendes ghost goal. Cost Spurs 3 points at Old Trafford. Worst Ever.

I've never been as gutted as I was that night. And until you mentioned it (and I checked) I didn't realise how many crap teams made the Quarter Finals that year. For the record, the line up was:Chesterfield beat Wrexham Portsmouth lost to Chelsea Sheffield Weds lost to Wimbledon Derby lost to Middlesbrough Semis: Chelsea beat Wimbledon Middlesbrough beat Chesterfield (replay) As you say, if we'd gone through that night, we'd never have a better chance...
Tom's Pasta Posted 3 November 2014 Posted 3 November 2014 The beckford red card against brighton still annoys me to this day. As bad a player as he was, it was really harsh to send him off for stepping over a defender while the defender was on the ground
