Corky Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 we're goin to get 2 more points in a month?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Yeah, St Tony of Newport, Stoke and Croydon will come in and turn the club around. We'll be 8th by February.
ScouseFox Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 I know, I know, it's a long shot but I think the team will be able to do it. could draw 0-0 with villa i guess, can't work out where you're getting the other point from tho but that's just imo
MC Prussian Posted 29 November 2014 Posted 29 November 2014 I reckon we'll be on 12 points in January. I could live with 12 points more in January.
Guest Posted 30 November 2014 Posted 30 November 2014 Just want to to hear how he is going to fix it , and as I don't think he can , I'm not going to hear that Why would he announce that to you. He has to do the interview but he doesn't have to really say anything.

Because we pay for his fecking wages and some of us are sick of the "positive" droning , I hope he turns it round , I don't think he can And of course he owes it to the people supporting and paying for his job to explain a bit more where it's going wrong and what he can do to put it right

You do realise that the majority of income for Premier League clubs like ourselves comes from TV companies, right? It's a sad state of affairs. Your few hundred pounds for a season ticket or 30+ quid a game barely makes a dent into his wages.

The only reason they even talk to Sky/The Beeb etc is contractual. You want him to stand there and say "Vards missed a couple of piss easy ones today, he'll be sitting it out on Wednesday and you know, I've no clue what RDL was doing for half the game, he's lost the plot lately"? They NEVER come out and say anything other than the standard because players don't like being criticised publicly (no-one does for that matter) and it would just lower morale. Look at all the managers who like to be jokey-jokey and have their say in interviews, they're all lower league or unemployed. Every single premier manager will use the same cliches throughout the season "We'll be working hard this week to put it right" "It was a good effort by the boys" "There's no easy games" "We didn't get the luck today" I think everyone needs to back off Pearson a bit and stop over-analysing his every move. Everything he's currently doing, is the same as he's ever done. The sitting in the stands, the interviews etc were the same when we were winning every week and no-one was bothered then.
Corky Posted 30 November 2014 Posted 30 November 2014 Guess what, Pulis will be the same if he joins. He won't admit lots of mistakes, he'll accentuate the positives, he'll look for things you can't see. And he'll also slag off the referees. He may well treat Stringer with contempt. Pearson isn't alone, few managers admit mistakes and really open up after games. Some don't even turn up to talk at all.
