harpendenfox Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 Would much rather Burnley stayed up with us. Had a brilliant trip up there in March. Would be delighted if QPR, Hull and Palace were to go. Not putting much money on it though.....
The Horse's Mouth Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 are you actually stupid? he supports Burnley
The Doctor Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 Which will be current at that time, yes? So you agree, there's no point saying we were great earlier in the season, it's all about now. I'm saying form at this stage of the season is irrelevant - form only really comes into it in the crunch time. Just to further make this point - November 2003, last time we were up here, we took 11 points from 5 games over November/first week of December. We ended up getting relegated by 6 points.
AKCJ Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 1. Chelsea 2. Man City 3. Man United 4. Everton 5. Arsenal 6. Southampton 7. Tottenham 8. Swansea 9. Liverpool 10. Newcastle 11. West Ham 12. Stoke 13. Villa 14. Burnley 15. Crystal Palace 16. Sunderland 17. West Brom 18. Hull 19. Leicester 20. QPR Purely based on form and reason, not guesswork and hope No offence, but what form have Burnley shown to finish 14th?
BlackburnClaret Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 No offence, but what form have Burnley shown to finish 14th? Currently 10th over last 6 games.
Guest ttfn Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 I think we'll stay up. I might have changed my mind in 4 hours.
The Doctor Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 Currently 10th over last 6 games. Over the same period in 2003/2004 we'd have been in the european spots. Form at this time of year means nothing, unless you end up getting cut adrift at the bottom. A couple of good games pre-christmas means sweet FA.
Guest Bilo Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 I said at the start of the season that anybody finishing below Burnley finishes bottom. A good mini run of four games hasn't changed that. 1. Chelsea 2. Man City 3. Man United 4. Arsenal 5. Tottenham 6. Southampton 7. Everton 8. Liverpool 9. Newcastle 10. Swansea 11. West Ham 12. Stoke 13. Villa 14. Crystal Palace 15. West Brom 16. Sunderland 17. Leicester 18. Hull 19. QPR 20. Burnley

Robin JD Popley Posted 7 December 2014 Posted 7 December 2014 If we stop making stupid mistakes and discontinue being our own worst enemies, we stay up. If we don't, we go down. It's as simple as that.
