Could the barren run make this season more special?

I know it may sound strange but it's been playing on my mind. The last three performances, the good performance and bad luck vs Tottenham, the battling away win at Hull and a fantastic comeback and display in today's draw against Tottenham has me believing we could well make up that four point gap and could well be back in the running,

With that in mind, should it come May and we survive, will the awful run we just witnessed make this season more memorable? Obviously a comfortable midtable finish would have been most if not all people's favoured finish, but instead of floating in and out of the bottom three would pulling out the rot and msking the great escape not be a much more memorable season? The season that we signed Esteban fooking Cambiasso, beat Man U after being 3-1 down and pulled through despite all doubt and awful results?

Obviously this is all just speculation, we have a long, long way to go and anything could happen in the time between now and May, but it just seemed a nice thought.

It will make it more special, but for me it is important because two games ago some people have accepted relegation as our fate. Agree it is still a tough task however we have not played like the bottom side in the league and so should not be there. for me survival in this league is miles better than winning the championship next year

I don't think we have been on a bad run.

NP has done what the owners wanted so they could bet heavy back home to get there money back.

Now they have he can do what he likes europe here we come.

Next season the league.

Joking aside that poor performance and win a hull was what they needed.

2 or 3 new faces now and sure we will climb the table.

No good has come out of this bad run for me, even if we did survive its turned my memories of that 5-3 win against Man Utd from at the time thinking we were going to go on to something bigger and better into a lucky win for a relegation side

If we pull off a great escape on the last day of the season it will feel like getting promoted did, but it won't really mean any more than finishing 14th comfortably.

The only good thing to take from our bad run is that we have come out the other side and are not cut adrift. We are playing better and have learnt a lot from that run and it could see us in good stead for the rest of the season, but I will not be reminiscing about those games should we stay up.
