What is it about this beer that makes a hangover even worse.

You don't even have to drink that much beer in there and it ruins you the next day

Well it's dirt cheap which is probably a clue. I've taken to drinking the 2.5% Alpine lager in there because it's the only way I can wake up the next day without feeling like there's construction work going on in my brain.

Quite like the larger in this outlets , never had a hangover in my life

Two pints of water , two ibruprofen and two bananas and a multi vitamin

Works a treat ...never ever had a hangover after it

Better than a bag of chips a Cyprus Doner and a coke

Stick to the mild? You are clearly a child who can't handle beer so a low % offerring might be more suitable.  Plus it is a god mild...

The bitter is very nice as well - out of a pump. There are also two lagers - one which is alpine and another which is more stronger. I can't recall it's name.

With regards to the company - Sam Smith and John Smith were brothers. Hence the John Smiths and Sam Smiths breweries in Tadcaster. As someone else mentioned - they are mainly northern. I know a small amount as I used to work in one back in the student days (used to be £1.45 a pint of bitter back in 08/09).

I always look for a Sam Smiths pub as generally the bitter is good and its cheap.

Haha, I live almost next door to one in York. By far the best quality for the money (bitter especially). Can't say I've ever heard or experienced this complaint before. Sure you're not just drinking more of it as it's cheap? :P

For trivia nerds, the reason it's so cheap domestically is they make their money by exporting it abroad (or so I'm told).

Taddy Lager. All about the extra stout mind.

Wow finding someone who lives about 5 mins away from me on this forum is something else! If it's the King's Arms you're talking about?

Nah, the Wellington, down towards Fulford. Still only about 15/20 mins walk away from the King's Arms, mind. Always preferred the Hansom Cab (now the Burns Inn I think, haven't been there for a bit) for town centre Sam Smiths places though. Isn't the Kings Arms underwater at the moment? Usually is whenever the river gets high. I don't think the regulars even notice anymore ;)

A few years back I went to a York match on non-league day and it turned out a few others from here did as well, so I think there are (/ were) at least a handful of Yorkies on here.

Oh right you live even closer to me then  lol I'm in Fishergate on the next street on the way into town from where the Wellington is. Yep definitely around a few here and there.
