Benji Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 It was quite interesting being sat in the home end and having the "balance" of talking to a fan of the opposition when there's a shout or foul. I've not read davieG's article but I assume they'll mention the penalty shout at the beginning of the second half which would have been INCREDIBLY harsh on us. The ball was going away from goal, Simpson or whoever it was had his hand by his side and was about a metre or two from the ball when it was smacked at him. I couldn't believe how irate they were getting down that end. I don't actually remember there being many contentious issues. A lot of their players went down very softly under tackles when it was quite clear we'd won the ball. There were a couple of times I just laughed at some of the appeals, I just couldn't understand what game they watching. Some even had a moan when Schlupp won a free kick when he broke away at pace and had his back ankle kicked in one of the most blatant fouls you'll ever see. The foul on Ozil near the end was right in front of me and looked like a clear case of "sh1te I've hit this too far I'm going to dive". He quickly recovered from an "injury" when he ran back on having wasted 5 mintues of time. Definitely not the sort of game where you win and boo the ref off. Haven't seen TV replays mind...
Dan Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 He was shit, but more in our favour I thought. I'm absolutely convinced some of the decisions he gave us were because he knew he'd ****ed us over back in January. Same way I feel a lot go against us because the immediate thought is back to Vardy's penalty.
Itsthejoeker Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 Arsenal fans not pleased with him http://ladyarse.co.uk/2015/02/mike-jones-review/ The only reason they're fussed is because all their players are made of glass. From the comments: It was a brutal game last night, but we have to also note the players are only mirroring the behaviour of their manager on the touch line. Your video n report should be sent to the English FA and request an explanation. lol Jones still don't come close to that prat of a referee in the tiny tots match, the last 15 minutes of the first half were absolutely appalling. More and more with such blatant bad decisions against Arsenal I'm convinced of bias against us. Almost play the victim card better than Liverpool.
ARTY_FOX Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 Ospina going down clutching his chest was embarrassing
Guest Cujek Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 Quality tackle imo, proper old school defending. Not our players fault some of the Arsenal lads seemed to be made of porcelain, especially Sanchez and Corzola, Ozil is just a whiner.

davieG Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 I thought that, the Simpson handball in the second half was no different to the one he gave at Anfield. Many neutral pundits thought that was wrong so how would not giving a similar one this time make him biased towards us maybe he learnt from the first decision.
BoyJones Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 What about their first goal, clear push in the box, which meant the first man didn't clear the cross. If he had nobody would have looking at Wes or Upson. Big club home decision
StanSP Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 That Wasilewski tackle was superb. Arsenal fans around me, to their credit, didn't moan at it and didn't go up in arms about it. They did annihilate Jones for the Schlupp free-kick when he was bursting through 2 or 3 players and for the Ozil 'dive' towards the end
