Mike Jones Returns!

Since the Vardy incident I can only think of two pens that we should have had (imo) and that was Mahrez against Sunderland and Vardy against Spurs.

Other than that we haven't had many shouts for pens but plenty of other decisions go against us.

I think it's time the referral system was introduced into the game similar to how it's used in cricket.

Kramaric last week at Spurs and Hammond against Villa as well. The latter was an absolute 100% penalty. I could see it from the other end.

Refereeing isn't the main reason we're bottom but it's one of them. Whether that makes me a loser or what then so be it. Some of the luck we've had has been ridiculous.

It was his stubborn face towards Morgan when he said it defiantly came off his hand that annoyed me the most

Professional referee and from what I remember he had a clear view of it, (if he didn't he can't give it).

The blokes a joke, the FA should do a points system on bad decisions, when you get so many, down the leagues you go and a lower league ref at the top goes up.

Would stop all the decisions big clubs get.

Things never even themselves out as I don't remember us getting 2 penalties in the 2nd half.

I would take the same result though .......

Tbh, I can't think that Nigel just saying that it's difficult to get decisions right and continually defending the refs can be helping us. if it was , we would not be getting such sh@t decisions go against us, game after game.

And are the FA responsible for allocating PL refs?

How did I forget the Kramaric one! Yeah, I was down the other end from the Hammond incident and it was clearly a penalty.

We could certainly be 2/3 points better off with some of the shocking decisions actually going for us. 2 points at Liverpool and another point vs. Spurs at home?

It can't do any harm surely? I mean if I was a ref and a manager called me every name under the sun for a seen them given type call, and the manager for the opposition defended me for one of the worst decisions for a long time. I'd probably favour the nice one

Why don't we have foreign referees officiating in this country? Do the FA not allow it?

Surely they can't be worse than dross we have in charge every week.

You haven't seen any of the Africa Cup of Nations I take it.

That's four penalties we should've had that we didn't get, not forgetting Liverpool away which was a disgrace, Villa away as well.

That's five, arguably six potentially game changing decisions and that's without even really thinking about the others of which I'm sure there were other things.

When it happens that often it simply cannot be a co-incidence for me. Like I say I think referees automatically think back to that one very well documented decision back in September and think they're probably evening it out.

You all criticise The FA.... but they have no say in the Premier League or who it appoints to games

Are the refs trained and hired by the fa? If so, then the failure that is British refs is down to them.

I'm only about this thread people having a go at them for demoting Jones then appointing him to one of our games again. That's the PGMO not The FA.

And just to answer your question the Premier League referees are neither trained nor hired by The FA; that is also the PGMO that selects who they want and run training days.
