tom27111 Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 You could also try getting hold of Dave Smith, another club historian and author of Fossils and Foxes, he's on Twitter @fossilsandfoxes

Nalis Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Are we basically recycling all the fish puns from that Fleetwood Town thread last year??

Webbo Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 Are we basically recycling all the fish puns from that Fleetwood Town thread last year?? Stop talking pollocks.
Alf Bentley Posted 11 February 2015 Posted 11 February 2015 No, these puns are carp. A thread like this would leave some green around the gills. They'd feel that it scaled no heights and that there was no fin in it. But I bet a bloke with a name like yours would swallow it hook, line and sinker. Did anyone else read Davie G's proper bit of history about this bloke? - By occupation, Mr. Codd was a fisherman from Grimsby - In 1916, he turned out against Leeds despite having lost an eye and suffered shell shock at Vimy Ridge ....no pulled hamstrings permitted back then I'm glad that Davie gave Researcher a proper reply about Mr. Codd, otherwise he would have been gutted!
