Said at the start of the game that it was a risk starting both Upson and Huth cos both have had their injury nightmares this season I knew one or even both wouldn't last the full 90 minutes. As it transpired it was Upson who limped off on around the 54 minute mark. He was slow people blamed Wes for their first goal but it could have been attributed to Konchesky or Upson. But he was Brighton's player of the year last season? Don't care he was injured when we signed him and he aint gonna get any better. What a waste of money lee morris mark two. Yep. st albans fox Posted 12 February 2015 Posted 12 February 2015 i think he signed him to enable us to play 3 at the back if required. its not just that he is left footed but he can also bring the ball out and pass it. our inability to keep the ball, even in defence to give the players some rest time has been a big problem someone mentioned mahrez roaming attacking midfield - i'd like to see it tried, especially against the less physical sides (like arsenal). i fear the stronger types would ease him off the ball too much in a congested area. however, if he can beat the first man, he could be away beyond the opposition midfield.

Clever Fox Posted 12 February 2015 Posted 12 February 2015 I think NP wanted to start the season with Upson and Wes, then he goes and get's injured and we waited and waited for him to recover. Luckily Big Wes came in and has being playing well. Otherwise we'd be so far behind by Christmas with no chance of catching up. We now need to win most of our games to survive which is asking a lot. If only NP had used the Summer recruitment opportunity better. The one thing I'm sure of is he won't make that mistake again.

He picked up the injury like a week after we signed him - last season he played over 40 games. He's never been particularly injury prone, we were just very unlucky.
