Burnsy Posted 16 August 2007 Posted 16 August 2007 Just hope he dont bag a load of goals for them and get a hatrick against us. Else it's egg on your face Mr Allen. No link but its in todays Sun.
teblin Posted 16 August 2007 Posted 16 August 2007 Where does it say that? I also have egg on my face!
Nick Posted 16 August 2007 Posted 16 August 2007 Where does it say that?I also have egg on my face! I thought they owed 30 million and have just bought RF ....... Are they now stumping up 20k a week for JFH ?
lildave3 Posted 16 August 2007 Posted 16 August 2007 Fowler and JFH- Combined age over 65!!!!! It's a pretty decent strikeforce though.
Phube Posted 16 August 2007 Posted 16 August 2007 It's a pretty decent strikeforce though. Maybe 5 years ago! Well we'll find out who was right soon enough... I hope for our sake's it's Allen!!
DB11 Posted 16 August 2007 Posted 16 August 2007 I still think MA should have signed JFH and if he does good then MA out
Mort Posted 16 August 2007 Posted 16 August 2007 Fowler, Sinclair, Hasslbaink.... Cardiff where old footballers go to die. With that line up they'd have pissed all over this league three or four years ago (!), still with their money troubles you cant help thinking they could find themselves with a very tricky wage bill in a few months time.
THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 16 August 2007 Posted 16 August 2007 If true, he WILL score against us and he will probably love it. Fair play. As I've stated in another thread I'm in a very bad mood today and I hate LCFC

Someone who cares about that club should stop Risdale before his 'living the dream' totally ****s up another club.
Head Honcho Posted 16 August 2007 Posted 16 August 2007 Someone who cares about that club should stop Risdale before his 'living the dream' totally ****s up another club. That's the trouble though isn't it? There isn't anyone prepared to take the job on. I'm not sticking up for Ridsdale he's a liability, but as I see it at Cardiff he is at present keeping them afloat. I'm led to believe it's his money thats paying the interest payments and the way it looks half of any future investment is his money anyway. Someone could come in and takeover I suppose but Cardiff although having a massive catchment area don't imo get the sort of crowds that will encourage any great investment.
davieG Posted 16 August 2007 Posted 16 August 2007 Sums it up Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is heading for Cardiff City after his move to Leicester fell through (The Sun). As Charlton found out to their cost (quite literally) last season, the former Leeds and Chelsea man doesn’t have much left in the locker. However, Dave Jones may see Robbie Fowler alongside the former Dutch international as some kind of ‘dream’ team. Five or more years ago, they would have proved a feared partnership but now they may simply help to sell replica shirts. Link
davieG Posted 16 August 2007 Posted 16 August 2007 Bluebirds secure Hasselbaink deal Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has completed his move to Cardiff after passing a medical and signing an initial one-year deal at Ninian Park. The 35-year-old striker was a free agent after being released by Charlton at the end of last season. Hasselbaink had looked set to join Leicester earlier this week before the move fell through and now the Dutchman has agreed to switch to Cardiff. The Bluebirds have offered the former Leeds and Chelsea hitman an initial one-year contract with the option for a second season. "Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has signed his contract," chairman Peter Ridsdale told the South Wales Echo. "Jimmy showed (manager) Dave Jones and I he is enthusiastic and hungry to get started." Hasselbaink will link up with Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler looking to fire Cardiff to promotion from the Championship. Both frontmen are among the Premier League's top-ten all-time leading goalscorers.
Joe. Posted 16 August 2007 Posted 16 August 2007 Couldn't care less to be honest. I was never excited of the prospect of him coming here anyway.
