Leicester City have today confirmed that striker Carl Cort has left the club by mutual consent.

Cort joined the Foxes in June - and made a total of eight starts for the club.

His only goal in a City shirt came in the dramatic 4-3 Carling Cup defeat at the hands of Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

The club would like to place on record their thanks to Carl for his efforts during his time at the Walkers Stadium.

about ****ing time we got rid of him. he was one of the worst leicester players ever and he doesn't deserve a penny for from us because he wasn't just poor, he couldn't even be arsed to try and win flickons for hume.

I wish him all the best. It was quite clear from day one that it was never gonna work out.

Cheerio.

Cheers for that Allen and Megson. I will never forget that game against Stoke with Campbell in the middle with Cort and De Vries playing to the left and right of him. It was the worst half of football I have ever seen Leicester play.
