Bit difficult to let him know when he doesn't use the email he registered with anymore. Oh and SUAS email bounced back. People are getting banned because the overall quality of posts on FT have been declining lately. To be honest I'd rather not watch it decline and decline until I have no incentive to run the site anymore

As far as I remember, there's always been a vast variety of different posts, whether on the serious or the not-so-serious side never really mattered that much. And banning used to be a Act of God, really. I can't recall such a large number affected.
Katy Posted 28 February 2007 Posted 28 February 2007 It's the text speak and the inability to construct sentences that gets me, along with the basic spelling errors. This applies to everyone, we've all been guilty of the odd typo but some posts are just ridiculous on a regular basis!

Perhaps if they were given a warning before hand they would stop doing it. it's more the persistent low quality postings, they won't have been (or shouldn't have been) banned without being warned several times before

I can't recall such a large number affected. i agree with your post, but as for the banning thing i remember muz, daniel, w e l l m a n, freund, sir jj wilcox, ect all being banned in the past. more member = more ban worthy persons i guess, so the number will go up. anyway, as i understand it, it's not for a ban life and hopefully they will come back and read the forum rules and improve their posting

I'm surprised I haven't been banned also, because a lot of my posts are 5-word posts. And i've posted a lot for 1 month Ok. If you look on the sponsor Stowell thread, I start to realise why members are getting banned.

Plenty of people post utter crap on here and generally it is the same offenders each time. I know we all think joeb posts a lot of crap at times but to be fair it's unintentional and only his opinion. He is made a scpaegoat too often I think. Wils, sheephead and SUAS are well respected posters on this forum and should not be banned. It's only an internet forum for god sake!

OK, Alex went a bit daft this afternoon, but I think just ignore the daft posts and the posters will get bored and move on. If I ever got banned for posting low quality posting, I would leave and never come back. I think people on this site are more sick of bans, topics being deleted, spamming and so forth than they are of 'low quality posts'
