Fez of Mahrez Posted 25 July 2007 Posted 25 July 2007 Think this deserves a separate thread as there are serious doubts whether it will go ahead, and if it does it might not be at Whaddon Road. Their friendly with Wolves this Saturday has been moved to Kidderminster.
SamL Posted 25 July 2007 Posted 25 July 2007 Jees, hope it does go ahead. Booked accomadation in the local Travelodge
kidder_wolf Posted 25 July 2007 Posted 25 July 2007 Their friendly with Wolves this Saturday has been moved to Kidderminster. Suits me just fine . I think your game will be called off as they have ran out of water at the ground and its unlikely the water will be back on for about 2 weeks
Head Honcho Posted 25 July 2007 Posted 25 July 2007 Jees, hope it does go ahead. Booked accomadation in the local Travelodge You can cancel on the day with Travelodge can't you? A good switch to play in Bristol will do me! Better boozers and top tottie
Fez of Mahrez Posted 25 July 2007 Author Posted 25 July 2007 I would have thought it'll be switched, I don't think our management team would be happy with two cancellations after going to the trouble of organising so many games for a reason.
SamL Posted 25 July 2007 Posted 25 July 2007 You can cancel on the day with Travelodge can't you? A good switch to play in Bristol will do me! Better boozers and top tottie Yeah you can cancel, just cant get a refund How gay.
gloucesterfox Posted 25 July 2007 Posted 25 July 2007 I would very much doubt it will go ahead in Cheltenham even if the flood water clears from the ground. I live just outside Cheltenham and work in the town. We do not have any mains water and are not expecting it to be available again for about 2 weeks. This means that none of the toilets will work so I would think they will not be allowed to use the ground also the police are at full stretch. I could be wrong but I'd be staggered if it happened here.
davieG Posted 25 July 2007 Posted 25 July 2007 Maybe it could be played at a neutral ground midway between the two clubs with all proceeds going to help flood victims, although I guess Cheltenham FC are victims themselves
Head Honcho Posted 25 July 2007 Posted 25 July 2007 Yeah you can cancel, just cant get a refund How gay. I've always been able to cancel without paying anytime before 2pm on the day
He's not bald Posted 25 July 2007 Posted 25 July 2007 Maybe it could be played at a neutral ground midway between the two clubs with all proceeds going to help flood victims, although I guess Cheltenham FC are victims themselves Bloody good idea Davie something like the Bescot would be good with all proceeds going to the victims...get a good turn out I imagine but not sure how easy it would be to arrange at short notice!
Daggers Posted 25 July 2007 Posted 25 July 2007 ...with all proceeds going to help flood victims Has the entire world apart from me and three other people stopped buying insurance? Jim - what the hell is going on with insurance? You need to make it more sexy because these twats that buy their houses on flood plains just aren't coughing up the readies to protect themselves. Yea - sexy insurance, that'll do it.
gloucesterfox Posted 26 July 2007 Posted 26 July 2007 because these twats that buy their houses on flood plains Absolutely amazing how trolls will spout off without having a clue. Most of the people that were flooded out were nowhere near flood planes try reading a real paper and see the scope of what happened. Also if you do ever have the misfortune to have a major disaster happen to your home I think you’ll find that your smug attitude that everything will be covered by insurance and you’ll not be a penny out of pocket is mistaken. By the way apart from being a little inconvenienced by no mains water since last Saturday and no Electricity, phone or Internet for part of that time I have not been effected by the floods, as I live on a hillside, although plenty of people within a few miles have and as it happens I do have pretty comprehensive home and contents insurance.

Daggers Posted 27 July 2007 Posted 27 July 2007 <inability to read> <inability to think> Back to using more than one account again eh Macbeth?
Geo V Posted 27 July 2007 Posted 27 July 2007 Could be switched to Walkers That`ll be for the best. One game called off in pre-season is bad enough but not a second. It`ll also save all the fans a few quid in travel
Thracian Posted 27 July 2007 Posted 27 July 2007 That`ll be for the best. One game called off in pre-season is bad enough but not a second. It`ll also save all the fans a few quid in travel Absolutely - and the Walkers is a lot closer to the Swan & Rushes.
Thracian Posted 27 July 2007 Posted 27 July 2007 Latest situation - as indecisive as the Environment Agency before the floods. http://www.cheltenhamtownfc.premiumtv.co.u...1079918,00.html
gloucesterfox Posted 27 July 2007 Posted 27 July 2007 Back to using more than one account again eh Macbeth? Daggers you are completely self cantered, yes I created an extra account over 3 years ago just to reply multiple times to you! As for not being able to read the quote said it all about your attitude. You are either a kid living at home with Mum & Dad or you have never grown up and faced any of life's issues you are not worth wasting any more time on get back to the location in your profile which also shows your stage of growing up.
tewkesbury-fox Posted 27 July 2007 Posted 27 July 2007 Well living on the island of tewkesbury at the moment near the water treatment works i doubt the game will go ahead which im pretty hacked off about as a load of us where planning to go,the latest is the water wont be back on till late next week at the earliest, local radio hasnt confirmed its def off, plenty of empty bottles of water though could hand them out as a temp measure not sure what the chicks will do that would be intresting half time entertainment
tewkesbury-fox Posted 27 July 2007 Posted 27 July 2007 what a stupid thing to say ; are you being serious ? i think he is,but in general cheltenhams got off lightly, think you touched a nerve there, all good fun though

Ouch! You really told me didn't you. You should take up forensic psychology. You're good. Damn good.
Simi Posted 28 July 2007 Posted 28 July 2007 Could be switched to Walkers I hope not. The friendly against Notts County just didn't seem right with the amount of people, but I suppose if it's the only option we'd have to do it.
