Ozwin Posted 23 September 2007 Posted 23 September 2007 Daily Star on Sunday: Gary Megson wants to make Darren Moore and Nathan Tyson his first signings at Leicester. Derby defender Moore was one of Megson's key players at West Brom when they were promoted twice in three seasons and is wanted on an emergency loan. Megson has also launched an ambitious raid on former club Nottingham Forest for striker Tyson - who he brought from Wycombe for £675,000 in 2006. He has also moved for Aston Villa midfielder Isaiah Osbourne but a loan deal has been rejected by ex-Fox Martin O'Neil. Don't know how much truth is in this but Osbourne wouldn't be a bad acquisition and neither would Darren Moore. I don't know too much about Tyson but we have enough strikers as it is.
David O'Leary Posted 23 September 2007 Posted 23 September 2007 PLEASE NOT MOORE, I BLOODY WELL HATE HIM, HE IS SHIT

I hate Darren Moore he's nothing more than a thug never tackles with his feet uses his arms to much has no pace and well guess I don't want to see him anywhere near this club
Ozwin Posted 23 September 2007 Author Posted 23 September 2007 I thought he was quite good, he's a bastard to play against (If you're a striker) and well yeah, he's a thug. And we're too nice as it is. We need some fire in the belly to get our campaign off the mark.

We need some fire in the belly to get our campaign off the mark. Spot on. At this level, Moore wouldn't be a bad signing- although there would be question marks over his pace. I'd definitely have Osbourne too, but O'Neill seems to have scuppered that. Tyson, God no.

Ozwin Posted 23 September 2007 Author Posted 23 September 2007 We're such a nice team to play against, you never see scraps or massive argue bargies at the Walkers do you? We're far too nice and need some big fook off players, who'd be willing to do everything for the team to step up. I see Moore as a Terry like player, he don't give a shit about anyone else.
Joe. Posted 23 September 2007 Posted 23 September 2007 Wouldn't have thought we needed Darren Moore to be honest. Osbourne sounds more tempting seeing as the centre of midfield has recently been weakened with Weso's injury.
C-man Posted 23 September 2007 Posted 23 September 2007 Osbourne was Villa's best player when we played them in the cup last season. He'd be alright
Stuliasz Posted 23 September 2007 Posted 23 September 2007 Moore is no better than what we have and is very prone to having error-strewn games. Wouldn't touch him with a 10ft barge pole.
Bryn Posted 23 September 2007 Posted 23 September 2007 Moore is no better than what we have and is very prone to having error-strewn games. Wouldn't touch him with a 10ft barge pole. I bet he wouldn't touch you with his 10ft pole either
FleckneyFox Posted 23 September 2007 Posted 23 September 2007 Moore = CB = Kisnorbo, McAuley, N'Gotty Osbourne = CM = Wesolowski, Clemence Tyson = ST = Hume, Campbell, Cort, Fryatt, De Vries RM = No one (excp. Ferreira on loan & not playing) LM = No one RB = No one (excp. Kaebi but not playing) LB = No one GK = No one (excp. Fulop on loan) Osbourne would be useful because of Wes' injury but the others are not needed unless Megson is planning to use Tyson as a winger. SORT IT OUT.
dog_4 Posted 23 September 2007 Posted 23 September 2007 osbourne would be great has we currently have no height and power in midfield. Him, clemence, ferreira and kaabi would be great in midfield, i just can't see it ever happening
filbertway Posted 23 September 2007 Posted 23 September 2007 Ok, so what about left back and left wing? If only it was that easy... what? It is that easy? It's something about being a manager, all sence of perpective is lost and you seem to be the only one who doesn't have a clue, even when 30,000 people try and tell you the problems.
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 23 September 2007 Posted 23 September 2007 We're such a nice team to play against, you never see scraps or massive argue bargies at the Walkers do you? We're far too nice and need some big fook off players, who'd be willing to do everything for the team to step up. I see Moore as a Terry like player, he don't give a shit about anyone else. I actually rate Moore, who doesn't care less and Osbourne would be a breath of fresh air... Tyson however, would be a no-no IMHO
Ozwin Posted 23 September 2007 Author Posted 23 September 2007 ^ Amen to that. Moore is an experienced son of a gun who wouldn't take a shit performance from any of our players. He's totally what we need.

Simi Posted 23 September 2007 Posted 23 September 2007 I'd hate to see Moore here, to similar to what we already have in that position.
filbertway Posted 23 September 2007 Posted 23 September 2007 I'd hate to see Moore here, to similar to what we already have in that position. I'm sure he'd make a quality left back.
Simi Posted 23 September 2007 Posted 23 September 2007 I'm sure he'd make a quality left back. I always saw Moore as someone that could play in the whole.
dandannieldanok Posted 23 September 2007 Posted 23 September 2007 Yes to all IMO, after yesterday's goals our defence perhaps needs freshening up with Moore.
Polyphonic Posted 23 September 2007 Posted 23 September 2007 Darren Moore ... no chance total waste of space no pace at all just wrestles players to the ground. He got away with murder when we play the sheep last year, and refs hate us so he'll get sent off all the time. Plus he has got to be 33 34 now ....
Micky Ruddle Posted 23 September 2007 Posted 23 September 2007 Another CB in Darren Moore. Lets buy a team full of defenders why don't we. I really hope we don't get either of them. As for Osbourne, i have no idea about him, so i won't judge a book by it's cover.
