Blue Bob Posted 23 September 2007 Posted 23 September 2007 IMO I would like to see someone with a bit of bite added to the team. In years gobe by when we were at our best we had the likes of Elliott, Taggart and Walsh. They were always prepared to mix it up a bit and unsettle forwards. They werent the most skillful or the quickest but read the game well and didnt take unneccessary risks (OK not that often). We are to easy to beat at the moment and that needs to change. Is Moore that man to do the job - who knows. What I do know is I am sick of signing loads of players who then dont seem to get a look in - Kaebi, Hellings and Neilson to mention a few. If we are going after players at least make sure that they can add value to the team as some of these dont even appear to be keeping the subs bench warm of the reserves let alone the first team. After all of the hype in the summer and all the new players I was really optomistic about this season as I am sure many other were. But that optomism has now turned into fear that we are in for another season like last season or worse and follow in Leeds foot steps. We have the opportunity to still try and get the right personnel in with some loan signings as Megson has made it clear that he does not rate many of our squad. Megson it is down to you to prove that you are this excellent manager that you say you are - attract the players and play some decent football. Turn it around and I will happily eat my words and worship your ginger b*llocks. But the rate your going at the moment your likely to be out of here by christmas!

They've already let a couple of players go out on loan, so I doubt they'll let Osbourne leave. Which is a shame as he'd be quality whilst Wesolowski recovers. Darren Moore is the sort of defender i'd want here if we had 3 or 4 young defenders who were vastly talented but needed some experience alongside them. But the fact we've already got N'Gotty for that, who's better than Moore and Kisnorbo and McAuley are hardly young either, then it's a waste of time IMO. Tyson, i'm not bothered about. Can't see him being an improvement on anything we've got up top anyway.

Prior to that we have looked good at the back. Kis and Macs are both solid and N'Gotty is well experienced and should be a rock in this div.

Moore would add a bit of much needed bite at the back. I just don't think he is any better than what we have.

I agree about Moore and Tyson and after seeing Osbourne play for Villa against us midweek, I don't think he would give us the creative input we need. Pretty slow and indecisive on the ball.
