I don't really care who we have appointed but...

... I really do wish that all you idiots coming on here talkng about how crap Nigel Pearson will be would go away (I'm being a bit more polite for the sake of our younger viewers).

I don't care about win ratios, I don't care about who he has or hasn't managed. I actually care about very little to do with Leicester City at the minute.

However I refuse to sit back and watch yet another display of brain dead posting from people who should take a look in the mirror when they wonder why this club is a mess.

F**k off (being polite didn't last long) with your negativity. Apathy I can deal with but berating the man before he's even stepped through the door is ridiculous and more damaging to the club than a lot of you realise.

I will support whoever is manager. However I wouldn’t of chosen Pearson and seem as though this forum is a place for airing opinions mine is I hoped for Billy Davies.

Being called a nob for having a different opinion says it all..

As Clint said opinions are like arseholes everybody’s got one…..so lighten up.

Billy Davies clearly didn't want to be our manager. We only want people who want to be here.

I will be supporting him, because I support the club but this is literally the last person who i wanted to support :(. Ive always tried to be positive, especially at the end of last season but Im really quite scared at the thought of staying in this league for too long, it will be good for one year, even two would be bareable but any longer and we will probably be stuck in this league for a very long time. This appointment just makes no sense to me, why are we doing this, I would actually rather keep Holloway because he has alot more experiance of this league.

I'm not blown away by this. Not at all. As I said though I'm just not particularly bothered either way. Mandaric has f**ked us about so much I'm left feeling disillusioned with everything to do with the club.

All I'm doing is standing up for Pearson and his right to be given a fair crack at the job without being abused before he even speaks his first word as our manager.

I hoped we'd get Jose Mourinho or Roberto Mancini but I guess I was being unrealistic too. We're a third tier club and it says something if Billy Davies would rather stay unemployed than come to us. But fu ck him, if he's not interested that's his choice.

Time to move on, Pearson looks like he'll be the new boss and the time to judge him will be when we see how his team performs, not before he's even been unveiled.

Let's remember MON had hardly had a glittering career before he came to us - did reasonably well at Wycombe, but hardly set the world alight at Norwich & they weren't too disappointed to lose him.

The reason the club has found itself in League One is because of the ineptitude of the chairman and the board, not the 'negativity' of the fans. Why are you surprised that people are questioning Pearson's record? This is an internet forums, that's what people do a lot of the time, criticise! When the vast majority of people on this board, including me, are at a game, they support the club and the players 100%. Sorry mate, but we're allowed to question why someone that has never been successful as a manager is taking over our club today.

The other thing is, no-one on here really knows what goes on behind the scenes. It's all 2nd/3rd/4th hand specualtion bollocks. I'm gonna speculate and say that this club does a good job in scaring people off, and maybe people who I wanted (Billy Davis) thought 'Nah, ****it. ..too much hassle at Leicester' or other people who I wanted (Paul Ince) thought 'Ah, a good stepping stone. One good season and I'll do a Megson'.

I'll be the first to admit his interest in the job worried me and I honestly thought it wouldn't be him, but (it looks like) it is so let's just GIVE HIM A F UCKING CHANCE. Here's hoping we get a full season out of him.

I'll tell you the answer to that... Mandaric. He's a f**king lunatic. He's f**ked this club up the bottom again and again with shocking decisions. I wish he'd go. I'm as negative as the next man when it comes to MM.

BUT.

This isn't about Mandaric. This is about giving Pearson a chance. I've read enough on here that suggests a lot of people aren't even willing to do that.

Do they?

Maybe you do, and more power to your elbow for it, but I can't say I noticed "the vast majority" supporting the club. I did notice the vast majority booing players and managers, laughing as they chanted for Megson to be transfered. I have sat and listened to an unending stream of dull, negative crap dribbling from the mouths of the Kop week in week out.

And then there's the moron-fest that is the phone-in.

James you should know by now that negative bandwagons are a fact of life on Foxestalk. Moaning to people with <50 posts isn't going to make a difference!

Even those that berated fellow fans for not standing up and singing in support of Holloway and the team were singing derogatory anti Holloway songs as soon as the oppo scored.

Personally, since the Taylor fiasco I make a point of not joining in any manager songs be they for or against him I do however try to sing all the pro team and player ones.

And so the lobotomised can include ones who sing too - as Barton so eloquently pointed out, we have the stupidest bunch of supporters in the country.

The moronic wailing and whinging going on now simply confirms it.

These retards shame me.

To be fair mate the number of posts they have doesn't matter. There's more supporters out there who don't even use these boards then there are that do.

I'm just trying to make the general point that giving Pearson stick before he's even been announced as manager is f**king stupid and those that do it should be ashamed. It's a problem inherent in our fanbase and even though Mandaric is accountable for much of our recent woes a large portion of our supporters do f**k all to help matters.

Yeah you're right actually, I forget how bad the booing can get. I don't understand why people do it. My point was that I don't think fans' negativity has little if any impact on results, it's down to the board's performance and the managers and staff it's appointed. I'll support Pearson obviously, but I have to question appointing someone with a record seemingly devoid of any success. You're right that the negativity has got too much, but to be honest we haven't had anything to shout about for four years or more, I can see why some people can't be bothered any more.

I agree with you.

If he does the job well and gets us launching back into the Championship, will we see those who berated him continue to do so?

Give the guy a chance :scarf:

On the plus side, it's Friday, I've got 5 cans of stella in the fridge, a small bottle of vodka, 2 cartons of tomato juice, black pepper, worcestershire sauce and tabasco sauce, plenty of ice and a bag of cookies from Sainsburys which were best before 4 days ago.

On opinions despite "the Orange" nto seemingly liking it...

I would of prefered a lower level manger (ala the Martin George days)

Our record then was decent whehter it were Little, McGhee or O'Neill

At league 1 surely we could of afforded ourselves this chance for an up and coming manager??

Martin Ling would of been a shout for example.

I just dont see that Pearson is "the right man for the job"

I agree, hardly inspiring but he's in charge of our team now, lets get behind the guy and give him a chance.

Look at your sig and point out the inspiring ones. ;)

When Ince's name was being mentioned last season no one bar Thracian wanted him - he'd not have been considering 'inspiring' back then. Pearson was respected by Saints fans who wanted him to stay, they appreciated his style of play and his drive...and that's good enough for me.

the right man for the job may not have applied or wanted it

Ahem, me and Thracian wanted him!!!

Therefore the right man for the job is one that feels they can put up with Mandaric's continually interference and unrealistic expectations.
