Talking about fit....Hows your other half???? My trip was about 14 miles. Got to do it again on teh way home, it's less effort than trying to catch a train. Annabel is fine thank you for asking. Thankfully she's not too traumatised after meeting you.

lildave3 Posted 27 August 2008 Posted 27 August 2008 14 miles?! Good god. I'd have fainted after 0.8!
Alexikokopops Posted 27 August 2008 Author Posted 27 August 2008 I think Im getting the train home. Fitness wise I could do it but my arse feels like its done ten rounds with Tabou. OLÉ!
lildave3 Posted 27 August 2008 Posted 27 August 2008 I think Im getting the train home. Fitness wise I could do it but my arse feels like its done ten rounds with Tabou.OLÉ! And where are you leaving your bike?
Alexikokopops Posted 27 August 2008 Author Posted 27 August 2008 And where are you leaving your bike? Locked up in the basement car park of our work. I'll pick it up tomorrow.
Tabou Posted 27 August 2008 Posted 27 August 2008 I think Im getting the train home. Fitness wise I could do it but my arse feels like its done ten rounds with Tabou.OLÉ! With my girth, I'd only need 4 rounds.
Monk Posted 27 August 2008 Posted 27 August 2008 I could cycle to work, but I don't have a death wish to cycle the bus lanes of the City of London. Just got back fron Copenhagen where all of the cycle lanes are 5 ft wide and seperate to the road and footpath. If it was like that, then maybe I might. Good on you though, 14 miles is a fair old ride.
Tommy G Posted 27 August 2008 Posted 27 August 2008 It's a good idea but the idea of getting to work all sweaty and cycling in a suit doesn't really appeal to me.
Tabou Posted 27 August 2008 Posted 27 August 2008 It's a good idea but the idea of getting to work all sweaty and cycling in a suit doesn't really appeal to me. I would cycle to work. But I work 72 miles from m house. That would probably make me a bit sweaty.
Fox You Forest Posted 27 August 2008 Posted 27 August 2008 Last time i was on a bike i was at Bradgate Park, I fell off trying to be clever going down one of the hills.
lildave3 Posted 27 August 2008 Posted 27 August 2008 Last time i was on a bike i was at Bradgate Park, I fell off trying to be clever going down one of the hills. I fell off my bike at Bradgate park when I was an even littler me. I made a massive hole in my chin and had to have many stitches. I have refused to go back there ever since.
Tommy G Posted 27 August 2008 Posted 27 August 2008 I would cycle to work. But I work 72 miles from my house. That would probably make me a bit sweaty. So you do a 140 mile round trip a day? I hope they pay you well to sit on here posting all day, especially with all that driving
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 27 August 2008 Posted 27 August 2008 I would cycle to work but i would need to leave 12hours earlier to get to work on time, if i make it to work at all.
Tabou Posted 27 August 2008 Posted 27 August 2008 So you do a 140 mile round trip a day? I hope they pay you well to sit on here posting all day, especially with all that driving Somtimes I drive, sometimes I train it. I get paid on what work I do, so it's me who suffers if I sit here all day. No work = No Money. Luckily, it's been a good month
AoWW Posted 27 August 2008 Posted 27 August 2008 I would cycle to work. But I work 72 miles from m house. That would probably make me a bit sweaty. So you do a 140 mile round trip a day? I hope they pay you well to sit on here posting all day, especially with all that driving 144 mile round trip, presumably?! Pfft, aren't you training to be an accountant or summat? Tis a worry!
Alexikokopops Posted 27 August 2008 Author Posted 27 August 2008 It's a good idea but the idea of getting to work all sweaty and cycling in a suit doesn't really appeal to me. We have showers at our work and we don't wear suits anyway Now I'm going to start working in London I don't think I can cycle to work anymore.
James. Posted 27 August 2008 Posted 27 August 2008 I didn't cycle to work but I am running the Windsor half-marathon. Did I mention my new signature?
