If not Albrighton, then I would give Akgun a go, ahead of McAteer. I just don't think McAteer is creative enough. What he will give, is lots of running and tracking back defensively, which is why Enzo will play him, but for me, you will get that from Albrighton, and he is more likely to create something. Ultimately its shoe in that Enzo will go with McAteer, so it's only really a fan debate.
-
100 per cent agree with all you say, and thats what i would do, but Enzo will definitely pick McAteer.
-
No chance that will get overturned. I would start with Albrighton while Fatawu is out, if not him then give Akgun a go. McAteer works hard, and started the season well before his injury, but I wouldn't be picking him ahead of Albrighton or Akgun myself.
-
If the ref is sending Fatawu off, then he has to have sent their guy off for the pen, which was high and far more reckless. That said, we wasn't playing well beforehand, although I still think 11 v 11 we would have been better second half and gone on to win comfortably. Disappointed with Enzo to be honest with the subs, just seemed negative and gave us nothing going forward. Would rather have kept Mavadidi on, more of an outlet ball than McAteer, and left it too late to make the second sub, and certainly wouldn't have took Cannon off, leaving us with no striker on the pitch at all. Still, we move onwards and start again.

Sorry western park, i meant to quote you mate. Yes they do, you're right about that. They said that even when Vichai was here. That the aim was for the club to be self funding in the longer term. The thing is, as Newcastle are now finding, it's not all about how much money the owner of a club has, they still have to adhere to ffp, which with the punishment handed out to Everton, clubs will now be thinking twice about ignoring ffp thinking they will only get a slap on the wrist if they breach it. The Man City charges and what happens to them will be really interesting. I have a feeling Man City will somehow find a way out of it again.
-
Or alternatively we didn't want to get into ffp trouble and end up with a points deduction like Everton. Arguably of course, had we ignored ffp like Everton, we wouldn't have gone down, and any point deduction we got, had it been for this season, would have seen us ok anyway, due to there being at least 3 woeful teams in the league, again much like Everton are going to benefit from.
-
I suppose its all ffp related, which I haven't got a scooby how it works. Just seems to help keep the bigger clubs at the top, and make it harder for anyone from the outside of the "elite group" to get in amongst them, certainly at the top level anyway. I'm assuming at the moment we are still working to the chance that we won't be promoted, and need to be extra careful financially, on that basis.

Going back a number of years now, but I worked with some Cov fans too, and they gave a bit of banter, but were actually really sound. I also had the misfortune of working with alot from Nottingham too over the years, not least when i was working on one of the new stands at Trent Bridge, and I can honestly say that I didn't come across one person from Nottinghan who wasn't an arrogant arsehole!

Sits back and waits for the Cov social media meltdown as Ric Flair winds them in again this week.

"Want to drive the price down", in other words, they are willing to offer a packet of crisps, and a Mars bar. Typical Italian club. Screw them, they've already agreed a price, if they don't like it, Tough, bring him back in the summer and sell him to someone else.
-
That worldy into the top corner is coming isn't it! What a talent he is, and he has so much potential to get better too. Love his attitude and enthusiasm. I have to say too, that Mavadidi on the other wing has stepped up another level in recent weeks too, so big credit to him as well.

Arrrrrrrrh!!!!!

Yeah but the "young uns" are not happy, because of all the "coffin dodgers" as they like to refer too, that are attending the games, and so depriving the young vibrant and noisy fans tickets.

I've been a fan of Nacho, and was delighted he stayed, because I thought he would tear it up in this league, but in the main he has looked disinterested, lazy and pretty woeful to be honest. Daka has had to wait until close to half way through the season, to get his chance, and has shown a great attitude, when he could have sulked. He has added another dimension to our team, with his hard work, pressing from the front, which he does better than anyone, and also his pace alongside Fatawu and Mavadidi has become a real weapon. No, he's still not got a great touch, and doesn't hold the ball up as well as we might like, but on what I've seen so far this season, he more than merits his place ahead of Nacho, who when Vardy is fit, I would have as 4th choice striker.
-
Depends on Vardys injury, and how he is, if/when he comes back from it. The concern is, we may end up completely reliant on Cannon, with no back up, unless we sign someone. Ndidi is a massive loss, and there is quite a drop off in his position when he isn't on the pitch. Again, whether we sign someone to fill the gap I'm not sure. Going back to previous seasons when we have been going into the January window, in a position of strength, the club have seemed to be reluctant to strengthen, thinking we've got enough, only for it to blow up in our faces by the end of the season.
-
The goals and the penalty Daka has scored and won, would rightly have been scored, and penalty won by any other striker, if that striker was in the right place at the right time, but not all strikers are in the right place at the right time. Most of Gary Linekers goals were tap ins, but he was good enough to be in the right place to tap them in, and he is considered to be one of the best strikers the country has had.
-
I was all for Nacho staying when others wanted him gone at the beginning of this season, but I wouldn't have him anywhere near the team now, and would be looking to offload in January, which given his lack of desire and interest this season, I'm sure he will be delighted about. We have looked much better as an attacking unit since Daka has been in the side. What he lacks in technical ability, he makes up for in his hard work and pressing, and that has helped us win the ball higher up the pitch, plus his pace alongside Fatawu and Mavadidi, has given us another attacking dimension. He will probably be rested against Cardiff, hopefully for Cannon, but if fit and rested, I would have Daka as our number one striker currently.

They don't want us to run away with it, so will be delighted when we mess up, in the hope we will be drawn back into the mix, rather than stroll the league, meaning that there is only one automatic spot to be played for. Why would they want anything different, as a TV channel they will want everything to go down to the last day. -

I think taking Ndidi off was when we started losing control of the midfield. Taking Daka and then KDH off, then just completely handed them control. We lost all the bite and energy that those 3 bring. How Hamza wasn't on the pitch for the last 10 minutes is another mystery. If he had been, then I'm convinced that their player doesn't get that shot away for their goal. Enzo got it wrong tonight. Afcon is also becoming a real concern for me in January without Ndidi, Daka and Fatawu, and I hope we are going to address that at the beginning of the transfer window, and not just try to muddle through with the likes of Casadei, Akgun and Cannon. Nacho can stay out there though for all I care. His attitude this season has wreaked of someone that doesn't want to be here, and thinks he is playing below a standard he should be playing at, and can't be arsed to make the effort! -

Two points chucked away, but you could see it coming. Shocking subs didnt help, we`ve not seen much of Cannon, but at least we`ve seen him try and press, something Nacho has never been arsed to do. Casadei for Ndidi, was when we lost control of the game, and Akgun for KDH, was just bizarre!. -

Looked close but may have been just outside, although had the ref not given the pen, he would probably have sent the keeper off. -
All of this, although he had a stinker of a game against Birmingham, which was disappointing, because I felt Justin was slowly getting back to his best in previous games. Hopefully just an off day.
-
He did indeed. To be fair, he wasn't very optimistic about Tete either, so he did get that one right.
-
So the guy who the Talk Shite "South American expert" thinks is a bit crap and can't defend for toffee, might be signing for PSG. Interesting!

We don't play again until the following Monday, and a number of our important players were able to be subbed off fairly early yesterday, so I don't see the need for rotation from the start of this one. Go with our best available team, which means bringing Ricardo back in for an unlucky Hamza.
