A rare year last season when the 3 promoted teams were decent. This year not so. Sheffield Utd are a joke let's face it. I think Pearson is finished to be honest. He was considering retirement last summer and the health problems might mean he decides to concentrate on life away from football.

He is a Premier League midfielder playing in the Championship and credit to the club for getting him in. He will become a bit more average next season assuming we go up, but would still expect him to be a consistent cog. Would be surprised if he made the England squad again, certainly won't happen playing in the Championship.

If we are going down the KP incompetence route I think you only have to look at the quality of LCFC squad left behind after relegation to see how hard it was to actually take us down. I think there is a big gulf in class between Prem and Champ as the 3 promoted teams are showing currently. Vestergaard is an excellent Championship defender and at the moment that is all we need so happy to embrace his positive performances.

Faes has played left sided CB a lot. Infact was hardly ever right side as Souttar and Amartey occupied the right side last season. Vestergaard from memory has played the left side of 3 for Denmark but in a more authordox 3-5-2. Wouldn't want to see it in our system though.
