I think we need to play the long ball and press them in their half, they're too good at pressing the ball for us to try our passing game. I think they started to play those tactics 10 mins at the end of that half

Should Riyad Mahrez play for the club again?
splinterdream replied to Tuna's topic in Leicester City Forum
I think he's already damaged his legacy here, I don't think that really bothers him though, he's only interested in a legacy at somewhere like arsenal, reminds me a bit of Alan Smith who always seems go quiet whenever it's mentioned of his time with us -
fix it , give mahrez a release clause

Should Riyad Mahrez play for the club again?

I wonder if it's probable the club are offering him to those that can afford him at this very moment, it's popped up in the press Arsenal interested with Utd and Spuds keeping on eye on it. -
Should Riyad Mahrez play for the club again?

I agree with this, he was garbage for a lot of 16/17, he can be garbage for 80 minutes but he can produce a small bit of magic that will often result in a goal, I think the team is heading in the right direction to life without Mahrez and still being as competative -
Should Riyad Mahrez play for the club again?

The Mahrez scenario is not unique, Mahrez is taking a massive gamble if he doesn't make himself available to play, he's gambling the Thais don't want to pay for an unhappy player who's doing nothing so will be happy to get rid at whatever fee we get, a bit like the Payet situation however the Thais may lose face if they do this, it would be like Mahrez getting his own way, the other scenario is the Thais will just leave him to sulk which could be for another 2 and a half years, this would cost them £10m in wages and they'd get nothing for him but would surely ruin Riyads career. I don't see that Riyad has a choice but to return. -
I'd love to compare is running distance covered compared to the others

Sadly Demari had no impact today, had a chance and missed it. I think he needs to play with the U23s for a while and we should use chilwell as an impact sub on the left, what do you think?

You're thinking with your heart, but if mahrez plays, helps get us a European place us win the FA cup whilst keeping the clubs interested in him, surely you'd buy that. I want him gone but he is brilliant, makes us a better side so I'd rather use him whilst we've got him -

Nervous start, could have been sent off but grew into the game, think he'll be alright, not sure he's a winger though -

Seems to show we're overthinking it maybe? -
Whenever I listen to it it just seems to be Arsenal fans ringing up to moan.

Who was it that said that on Talksport? I listened to Ray Parlour and he seemed to side with the club, hawksby and Jacobs who interviewed Geoff peters seemed in agreement with the club. I think Alan Brazil sided with Mahrez and ally McCoist seemed to stick up for us.

The Premier League is the most watched league in the World - Fact. Mahrez is one of the most sought after attacking creative midfielders in the Premier League - Fact. He is killing it though, his antics are causing other clubs to look at him and think, do we really want this player, sure he's gifted but will he turn up and give everything if things don't go his way. I can't understand his tactics, what he has done with these strops is so stupid.
-
Still not Premier league tried and tested though is he? I also saw lots of comments yesterday asking who is Aubameyang anyway? I guess if you don't watch Bundesliga you likely wouldn't know however everybody knows who Riyad Mahrez is, that's the difference so yes I do think Riyad Mahrez is worth more than Aubameyang. Besides, it's not really for us to value the player, it's the owners to work out what it's going to cost them to replace him. Man City with all their attacking talent and money think he would improve their side - that makes him worth £85m+. Let's say we wanted Zaha as a replacement for Mahrez (not that he's as good), how much do you think it would take to twist Palace to let him go?

Greedy, GREEDY? they want to give us European football, they're trying to give us a higher profile, they'll have to try and find someone to replace Riyadh, how much do you think they'll have to pay to get that? How's about we give our owners a little bit of respect, they make the decisions and often make us better for it.
