  1. I'm always surprised how fondly 03/04 is remembered on this forum. I think of it as a total nightmare of a season that set us back for years. Should've finished midtable and Adams, as nice a guy as he is, bore a lot of responsibility for our subsequent decade of decline.
  2. 96th minute. Day after our cup win.
  3. Fun thread
  4. We did bottle the second one a bit. 4 points from the last 15. But we'd obviously set our sights on an FA Cup win, which I'm glad we did, and Liverpool had an insane run in. 19/20 was pretty pathetic and I don't think of that season that fondly apart from Soton away.
  5. I think the 2nd one was more excusable

  8. On balance I'm probably in favour of the name change. And I never really understood why we venerate Agincourt so much, as good a victory as it was. We shouldn't have been there and we lost the war anyway. I agree though we have become very apologetic and embarrassed of our history which I think is partially a byproduct of the country becoming significantly poorer and less influential in the past decades.
  9. also tea and denying historical war crimes
  10. OldBob1944 wasn't that funny

  12. I love the righteous anger from the UK public that have consistently voted for low growth policies
  13. The anti-Iheanacho. Tidy enough on the ball but totally ineffectual.

  17. It was actually the discovery of our last Plantagenet king
  18. A Man United fan writes in 2015...
  19. Intriguing. In what way? I'm biased because it's the team I grew up with but I think it was a fantastic era. It was the best we'd performed in the top flight for about 20 years, and before that we'd only won one trophy our entire history. It was quite unprecedented levels of success for most fans.
  20. It was all worth it. Would much rather win trophies and then implode than be a 'model club' like Brighton.
  21. Every time I read something like this I wonder how Daniel Hannan is
  22. I've thought this for a few posts but bear in mind that 90% of contact with Leicester fans I have is through foxestalk so I'm starting to believe "winning the league was the worst thing that happened to us" is a widely held belief amongst the LCFC faithful.
  23. Difficult to know how unpopular this is. I think he's nowhere near Peter Taylor levels and winning the FA Cup was as important as winning the league, though I suspect this is itself an unpopular opinion.
  24. I was going to post "we would've finished midtable with Pearson in 15/16" but some people on here know where I live and I don't want any trouble.
