Try and get to Ravenna. The early medieval churches and mosaics are the must see in Northern Italy in my opinion.

birra messina is goated as the kids would say. have seen it in a few shops here

I have to be Italian beer twat and point out Menabrea is better than all of them* *It's actually not, Poretti is indeed the best

Now that is a story to tell the Grandkids.

**** me what a game. Cannot be overstated. For anyone who was too young to be there, it really was as great as everyone says.

Old photo of Sileby with the John Moore pub in the background. And then the local lads outside it. Think it's Sileby fish bar now. -
It's the cup, so there's always the hope for a miracle run. I refuse to let the bastards completely grind me down.
-
I don't think the team we choose or the result we get is going to affect our league form at all to be honest. So we might as well just try and have a cup run at least.

I like Spoons, especially in London. They're spacious, open late, and most of the large groups visiting from the provinces go elsewhere. I like the table service too.

We have this debate every year but it's still the FA Cup so I am still very invested in this game. Going out before the 5th round is always very disappointing. And given how crap United are we should be taking this seriously.

KP is at least close to the old stadium. And at times it has generated a good atmosphere and obviously seen some incredible moments, so I have a fondness for it I didn't think I ever would. But nothing beats Filbo.

Florence - Loads of famous Renaissance art of course but the lesser-known San Marco convent is one of my favourite places in Italy. The Brancacci chapel is also amazing. Trattoria Benvenuto and I Traocchi were two places I always went to eat when I was there. Tarocchi has a nice outside part in a pleasant, quiet part of town the other side of the Arno. The covered market also has good food. They do a tripe sandwich if you want something cheap and filling or want to upset nearby American tourists. Fiesole and Settignano are two lovely villages in the hills above Florence. You get great views there. Only went to Lucca once so can't remember anything specific, but it's very pretty. Siena is also a must see. It's busy but for good reason. I haven't been to the Tuscan coast but it always looks lovely from photos and I know a few people who rave about it. From Pisa you might think also about going to the Ligurian coast which gets very busy but is undeniably beautiful in parts. One part of Italy I've always wanted to explore more are the mountains to the east of La Spezia. Looks like there's a line from Pisa heading north towards Parma. Castelnuovo di Garfagnana and Pontremoli look quite beautiful.

An understandable reaction to having to move back to Glasgow.

I will give them hash browns though. Excellent addition to a fry up

Revealed in a Channel 4 exposé in 2017 that the tragic on set deaths of two midgets were covered up

Love how this thread is basically people posting "so I just watched the highlights and... Jesus wept..."
-
I was genuinely shocked watching the highlights. International footballers!
-
First 60 minutes of Blackburn 2023 was up there. But this and Wolves are probably new lows.

Dogshit. A clown. For all the posts on here about how booing players is bad for their mental health etc, how some of these guys can continue to get paid very handsomely for being absolutely crap at their job just makes me wish I tried harder at football when I was young. The phrase 'stealing a living' has never been more apt.
-
He's not the right man but at the same time he didn't put together that back four. Absolute clown show.
-
Yeah I just watched the highlights and was coming to post the same thing. Not sure I've seen worse defending in the Premier League.

I think American politics effects us much less in the UK than we think. Less than for example Irish or French politics, which is discussed here very little.
