This is becoming a bit silly. Your argument was that Danny Ward has not won a trophy here. I disagree and I think that's like saying Wes Morgan or Hamza Choudhary didn't win the FA Cup with us. Anyway, I think we can probably all agree that Danny Ward is not a club legend...

well obviously

Beat them 12-0. Their fans boycott the club in protest, the club folds as a result, all past Wycombe results are subsequently wiped from the record books

For years I've thought he played the Stoke game. Oh well, still 2 games though, so a bit unfair to say he never won a trophy here, as crap as he is.
-
He played as many games in our 2021 FA Cup run as Kasper.

I think the word "legend" suggests a person or moment important in our history or tradition that people will talk about for years to come. A legendary goal is one that people still get misty-eyed talking about. Vardy's first at home to Liverpool, Cambiasso against Man United, or even Cambiasso against QPR. Parker at Stoke in 1996. 'Where were you when...' moments. Therefore in terms of legendary players, I think it's really hard to argue against any of our 15/16 title winning team deserving the tag. Whereas I would say someone like Maddison, as good as he was, is not a legend because we won't be talking about him or any of his moments nostalgically after a few beers. Tielemans is a legend for me, because of the Wembley goal.

One hell of a tube ride from Stanmore -
I have a master's degree and speak different languages, but don't own my own house and have no skills that are really useful to society. So I am the antithesis of the Deano. However they don't live close enough for me to really dislike them and most of the local pubs I go to are frequented by farmers and minor royals, not instagramming fake nailed Deanettes. And deep down, like most English bourgeois intellectuals, I'm a little bit envious of them.

Mileham is where I got the beer from. Birthplace of the great Edward Coke. And Brisley's pub is rather well known now I think. I always think Lynn is quite fascinating in how the two sides are so different. The West is very Fen-ny, more industrial and a bit depressing, the East merges into the lovely countryside towards Gayton and Sandringham. I still love driving along the old Lynn-Norwich road in the early spring. Quite blissful. Great part of the world.

Yep. I love that part between the Cromer road and the A47. Quite pretty, loads of historic places, but quiet and away from most tourists.

For those of you who like to holiday in Norfolk this is a beautiful drop from a superb brewery worth checking out. Almost Belgian beer like.
-
Nothing wrong with Deanos imo. Totally harmless.

I sometimes feel the same way but I wonder if it's just getting older. When you're young it doesn't bother you as much. Having said that I do feel in general society is getting stupider and nastier. -

We do seem to have quite a lot of stupid young male fans. Obviously can't compare with other clubs because I don't regularly go to watch anyone else. But definitely post Covid there seems to have been a surge in drunk wannabe hooligan but still living with their mum dickheads around me at away games. -
A lot of the British right just want to be American.

Combination of English over-sentimentality and the mediatization of English football. See also the England national team and Southgate 'changing the narrative'.

He was pretty solid in the freezing cold Brighton game. Made a couple of saves in the previous round but looked dodgy from corners. So yes there wasn't much before the 2022 Forest game that suggested the absolute horror show that was in store for us.
