Yeah you're right there are some nice parts but I think it has the highest proportion of horrible bits, Boston is perhaps the worst place I've been to in Europe. And even in the medieval period it was known for producing quite rough people.

In that part of Greece yes it might be a bit inconsistent, but probably not further south. Early October would probably be lovely actually.

When I lived in Sofia we used to go each summer to Skopelos. Quite different from a lot of Greek islands, a bit lusher, beaches not so rocky. Wouldn't say it's non touristy but certainly quieter. It's a bit more family oriented so maybe not the best to go with friends and not sure how reliable the weather will be in October.

Everton at home he made a string of really good saves. Palace away I seem to remember something similar. Fulham away he was crap but the defence and midfield were like butter. Overall there is plenty of evidence that he is a better shot stopper than Ward. So many time Ward has conceded goals that 99% of the time a PL keeper would save. His positioning and reactions are incredibly bad for this level, I can't believe anyone would put him ahead of Iversen, whom I admit is essentially not a great PL goalkeeper.

Of course he was. He has obvious flaws at this level but he showed in 2023 he's a good shot stopper at times. Pulled off some heroics at home to Everton. He would've saved the 3rd against Wolves and probably the 2nd wouldn't have happened either.

Next time we go we should sing something about how their city's wealth is founded on slavery and rapacious capitalism although I'm not sure what tune the words would fit to.
