A should-have-been assist. Mancini's ball for Izzet against Chelsea in 2001. Floated perfectly on to the very spot Muzzy's head was about to arrive at, and he headed it over. Still one of the greatest balls I've ever seen and I wish I could find highlights of it somewhere.

We played some great football and he brought in a couple of players that would go on to be very important for us, including one of our most important signings ever. He seems like an intelligent and charismatic man and he's a proper football guy too. Fantastic career.

When I read the post and before the video loaded up, I was thinking of this goal. I remember it very well. There were a few times in that period, great escape to title win, where I knew we were going to score. Mahrez at Man City, when the ball dropped for Vardy against Liverpool, this one. It was like we were being directed by some higher power. So many goals from that period give me goosebumps, but especially this one.

I can understand. I probably guard them more than my passport too. A passport you can replace, lost photos you can't. Rolls of 35mm film still sometimes catch the attention of curious border force officials too.

Read this years ago, great book! I took the 'transiberiana d'Italia' train a few years ago, which I thoroughly recommend, and it went though Castel di Sangro. One of my favourite regions in Italy.
