Man United 5-3 to Christmas time we were awful. We improved but didn't get the results until King's goal vs WHU.

Really enjoyed getting rained on in 12 degree London today then riding home in an aggressively-air conditioned Metropolitan line train. So refreshing.

Trend in the Anglophone world in general I think.

I think being Nigerian and a bit autistic didn't help him. If he had a Spanish name (e.g. from randomspanishname.com I came up with 'Ayoze Perez') some people would be saying he was technically excellent and criminally underused.
-
Disagree, I think he scored a higher percentage of great finishes than most strikers, while at the same time missing some sitters. I can't remember many of his goals being scruffy.

8 years after winning the title and speaking to local media you probably would. I don't really see what the issue is.

British and French elections potentially either side of an England vs France knockout game. Fun times ahead.

Imagine spending 2.5 mil to live just outside Tamworth

Remainers are, I think, overwhelmingly pro-immigration as the EU becomes increasingly anti. That is of course a big generalisation though.
-
The love of Roma fans towards their club is off the charts to be honest. I think Totti said something similar about rather winning 1 scudetto with them than 10 with Juve. Roma scudetto wins are monumental events.

It's real btw

British remainers are like the last Japanese guy fighting WW2 when it comes to immigration.

I agree but you can't offer solutions if you don't even acknowledge that this will pose a huge challenge for developed countries. Until eventually people vote for the party that promises to shoot anyone trying to cross the border. It's ironic that the video was posted by arch-Europhile Galsworthy when the EU seems to be further along this path than Britain.

I think Britain has one of if not the the worst housing crisis in the developed world and infrastructure and public services are struggling so I suppose calling the country "overcrowded" is not that inaccurate. Of course you could argue the solution is to increase house building rather than limit immigration which would admittedly not make such good twitter content. It is statistical fact that England has never experienced immigration on the current scale. That some prefer to pretend that's not the case rather than argue that it's beneficial suggests to me they're not that confident in their own arguments.

Started a temporary job and three people told me in the first week something along the lines of how much they like LCFC, how we're everyone's second team, how the league win will never grow old. I think being exposed to all the tiresome football banter online you can lose sight of the fact that amongst more casual fans in the wider population we are still very respected and well liked for what we achieved.

Leaving aside his achievements here and the fact he seems like a real good guy, he's a very good player and I think we'll miss him. I think Fuchs would've been a good option from 21-23 and I wonder if we'll think the same about Albrighton in the next couple of years.
-
With Albrighton leaving he's the last one left. The last Mohican.

Midlife crisis is going to hit so bad when he finally leaves

When working in Bulgaria my plane back to Sofia was cancelled due to heavy snow and rescheduled for four days later. I missed a friend's birthday party so arranged to meet him when I got back and buy him a beer, then met my partner at the bar that night. Still with her 13 years later.

Is it just me or are a lot of young Brits picking up American accents, or at least a more American way of pronouncing certain sounds, especially vowel sounds like /əʊ/ Edit - I think I posted this in the wrong thread although this one is at least related to changes over time

England?

I didn't know about Ed Davey's son. The interview with him this week was very moving and it's very welcome to see people talking about experiences of caring for vulnerable members of society.

Reform voters like "I swear bro just one more Farage will fix it"
