  1. he's notorious for those kind of puns
  2. It's Duran. Duran. Given a view to a kill, he found the bottom corner. Hungry. Like. The Wolf! It's no ordinary world in this Premier League panoply of performances.
  3. A lot of English football fandom has become quite performative as the game becomes richer and more detached from the fans. Bigging up rivalries is a way of doing that; I suppose it gives off a vibe of authenticity when you know your club has become an aloof multi million pound corporation playing in a soulless tourist attraction stadium. It's like those people on twitter who laugh at Fulham fans being posh while their team plays in a half empty stadium named after a betting company.
  4. Their death in a car crash is one of my earliest memories. Was on holiday in Cornwall when my father woke me up with the news. Actually that could be Diana, I always get those two car crashes mixed up.
  5. I feel football rivalries are a bit forced. I've seen a couple of people online responding to Piers Morgan in a Spurs shirt with "wouldn't wear a Forest short if you paid me". Like I would wear it down the pub all night if someone promised to buy me the beers.
  6. I remember when I moved to Palermo and after about two weeks fell quite badly sick. When I phoned the manager of the EFL school I was working with and started listing my symptoms he immediately cut me off with "have you been drinking the tap water?"
  7. It's not a true trip to Sicily unless someone is nauseous on the journey home.
  8. Where did you get to in the end for food and drink? I'm always interested to hear about any new places I haven't been to in PA.
  9. Yes, ticking him off. Went to see Worcester cathedral a couple of months ago. Would love to explore Herefordshire and the whole Welsh marches, looks like quite a magical place.
  10. Going to Gloucestershire next week. Spending a couple of nights in a cottage in the countryside but also making sure to do Gloucester cathedral and Tewkesbury Abbey. Any more off the beaten tracks suggestions, or recommendations of nice pubs, would be much appreciated.
  11. I was coming here to post exactly that - getting hairy for Cagliari unfortunately. But if they beat fellow strugglers Sassuolo on Sunday, they're safe.
  12. I think we'd do better if we tried to incorporate some of our musical heritage into the songs. Like a Welsh choir, or Scottish bagpipes, or some kind of English folk or even indie elements. Is gay sex in a dilapidated swimming pool changing room representative of Britain? (don't answer this question)
  13. Oops wrong thread I may be drunk👍
  14. At least no mosquitoes will get him in that
  15. Oh dear
  16. More Ghostbusters
  17. Doesn't look it. 17 in Yukubu years.
  18. To put it in perspective, our shambolic 01/02 team got more points than all the bottom 3 have at the moment
  19. They'd love him in Italy.
  20. Sicily is where I first really understood the appeal of ice cold lager.
  21. We have the soil and the weather for it. They've been malting there since Roman times.
  22. Rob Edwards is annoying to be honest
  23. Yes lovely people. I often wonder what has happened to the people I stayed with. Hope to get back one day in the distant future...
  24. Genuinely one of our greatest ever. PL and FA Cup winner, second highest assist maker in the PL era, first ever Champions League goal scorer. All on a free transfer.
  25. Petition to have end of WW2 removed as the starting point for seemingly all football records.
