  3. 'England 2038' including Glasgow as a venue would be great banter to be fair.
  4. I like your sunni disposition but you're mixing up your countries.

  6. He's 40 now, that would be farsi-cal
  7. I first went in 2007 and rented a 'private room' that turned out to be basically a whole villa for about Β£14 a night. That was when old ladies would meet people off arriving buses offering accommodation for the night, and a two litre bottle of beer wasn't much more than a euro. Beautiful place. And I like a cigarette with my beer in the evening but the Balkans is a little much even for me.
  8. calling a three 3 minute men's mental health break in his first 45
  9. I mean the Boston Globe just put out an open letter saying how much the city loves them but ok...
  10. I think it's better when coaches are from the country. If England can't produce good coaches that's our problem we need to rectify. Spending a lot of money on a foreign coach seems a bit like cheating.

  12. So that'll be 6 PMs in the 10 years since Brexit, 5 in the last 4 years. 1 out of those 6 became PM through winning an election.
  13. I think England fans are disliked now as much because of English media as any memories of the bad old hooligan days. People obviously speak English and watch our media so they are familiar with the kind of discourse that goes on - the constant refrain of "wouldn't get in the England team" about half the squad of a country who then shit all over us, the questions like "what can you do Kasper to stop it coming home?", the belittling of other countries. Obviously this isn't really the fans fault but there is a general feeling that the English see themselves as the centre of the football world around which everything else revolves. We are basically the "this means more" Liverpool of the international scene.
  14. Was the wonderwall post game singalong the cringiest moment in football history?
  15. Yes, they are
  16. Yeah it's all relative. The post 9/11 why can't we all get along stuff is a bit obvious but still a great film
  17. There really are a lot of English triggered by the fact the Scottish fans are popular when they travel
  18. Bit woke but a great film. Love the Runciman trilogy of books on the crusades which heavily influenced the film. And Eva Green obviously...
  19. I suppose if America has to win, at least Australia can lose.
  20. Watching old highlights on youtube, Tony Gubba really was king of the recorded-two-weeks-later-for-GOTM commentary.
