  1. I want to read more about Africa in general and specifically East Africa so I will give it a go.
  2. A revolutionary tactic I'm sure we'll all agree
  3. Never been less bothered about a promotion in my life, not just because of the points deduction but for the absolute shit fest the EPL has become.
  4. Yeah it's ruined. So come join us at King's Lynn FC and after 10 minutes you'll see the money and greed in a new, much more positive light.
  5. If a club of our stature needs to get CL to be not-****ed then there is something wrong both with the club and with English football
  6. Happy World Book Day. What are your favourite books foxestalkers?
  7. we have pretty short term needs
  8. I've noticed this with Italian lower league highlights too. Minute 1 to minute 3 - players coming out, shaking hands, hot girl in the crowd, ooh look the Alps in the background, another hot girl, players warming up, shady looking guy on the touch line. Minute 4 - goal. Minute 5 - full time whistle.
  9. I got the feeling this is why they didn't sack him
  10. The EU is the third largest economy in the world. And we might not have much of a choice. The US is a very different country from the early 2000s it seems, more isolationist and less Atlanticist on both the left and right.
  11. It's less than ideal that we have to worry whether the whims of voters in some godforsaken flyover state will lead to Eastern European countries not being able to defend themselves from Russia. We should develop our own capabilities more and if a Trump presidency accelerates that then maybe it's a good thing.
  12. I think US-Europe is less of an axis and more of a servile relationship and since there have been two large wars in Europe in the last 30 or so years I'm not sure if it works anyway. Ultimately the fact that Europeans are currently fretting over a potential Trump presidency and what that will mean for e.g. the defence of Ukraine suggests we would do well not to need to rely on them in the future.
  13. It would be good for Europe to eventually move away from the US politically and militarily which is why a Trump win might be good long term. It would also be bad for America which is always good.
  14. If we were trying to implement a certain style of football for long term success that makes sense. If we are in as dire a financial situation as some claim then it's not a project, it's a must we get promoted. And the point stands that he has come into a Championship club which will obviously have a limited squad and needs to find a style that fits the players, not the other way round.
  15. This sounds a bit like Rodgers "I'm a coach not a magician" - if the players aren't good enough to play a certain way why play that way? Especially as we're talking about the Championship where teams including us are not going to have technically gifted players.
  16. I see all the remaining fixtures are category a...
  17. Thought we were excellent in the cup final and all through the previous rounds apart from a half against Brentford and the Brighton game. I know people look differently on the Rodgers era now but it was a fantastic achievement especially considering the opponents and some of the injuries we had.
  18. Supporters all have different experiences, are different ages, have different approaches to football and to life. Telling people what they should be enjoying more or what they should prioritise is always going to be difficult.
  19. I take it you didn't get a ticket
  20. Part of it for me is that cup competitions are much more exciting than the drudge of the PL. Admittedly our PL stay was anything but a drudge but we're the exception. I find the PL pretty dull now.
  21. FA Cup would be more fun. We're on track for the most anti climatic promotion ever.
  22. I like him and I'm glad we took a chance with him. But his inexperience is showing and we're lucky we have some exceptional players like Hermansen and Vardy. To be honest I think fans would be a little more generous towards him if he hadn't talked so often about them needing to understand the style of football.
  23. more bored by us to be honest
  24. Kudos. They don't quit.
  25. Yeah I have to say I quite like their tenacity and verve, although I think they'll just miss out.
