  1. Generally would like kids but I'm pretty anxious so I'm not sure if I could deal with the worry.
  2. Me neither, and I'm not even from there. Started lying late 2015.
  3. 13. The players in the background helped. Also I used to be obsessed with football grounds and had those books of aerial photos.
  4. Ahh Fuchs. Got to be the greatest full back we've ever had, and one of the best defenders full stop. His contribution to the PL win is maybe slightly underestimated. And I think he encapsulates the title winning story as much as any other player.
  5. Just a classical liberal!
  6. I don't think he is. But I think he's probably closer than a lot of Brexit voters like to admit. He's expressed admiration for Putin, said he'd be worried if a Romanian moved next door to him (and put out an advert explaining why iirc) and apparently was seen as something of a neo-fascist at school. So maybe not a proper fascist. But a deeply unpleasant individual and somebody who's done more damage to this country than most.
  7. My anxiety is off the charts at the moment. Wondered if it was related to alcohol withdrawal.
  8. She didn't have much coordination, especially hand-eyeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  9. Recently really enjoyed Cathedral, a selection of Raymond Carver short stories. Was one of my favourite books of the year. Manages to create such emotional stories about often quite mundane things, in just 20 or so pages.
  10. How is is this even possible.
  11. I dislike most clubs who aren't Leicester. For some reason disliking Wrexham is the only one that generates so much shock from some quarters.
  12. I just find them very irritating. Reynolds especially. Mostly because they're insufferably north American, which is my own prejudice obviously. But also the whole rags to riches, 'blue collar' stuff feels incredibly forced. They're a big, pretty rich club for that level. Good for them, but I don't understand why they get so touchy when people say they don't care for them.
  13. I'll be honest I absolutely hate them.
  14. Finding out this year for the first time trains don't run on boxing day....
  15. They'll stay up on the last day of course, with some incredible slice of fortune. The Everton way.
  16. Edit, sorry misread your post. It is not contradictory to say the second sentence is true but the first is incorrect.
  17. appear to be on general sale in the home end now. Vardy corner takeover?
  18. Had an effect on me too, and possibly still does even when I'm not drinking. Other good reasons to encourage people to cut down: - Skin feels so much better. Used to get quite itchy skin especially at winter but it's improved significantly since cutting down, though still not perfect. - Let's be honest it's great for the sex life
  19. Thanks for all the posts. Helps a lot to hear other people's experiences.
  20. Me too, and I try to remember that. 2 beers drunk slowly down the pub is a lot nicer than necking 4/5. I realised that at the QPR game last month - had a very slow single pint before the game and enjoyed it much more than usual. I think Adrian Chiles has written about this as well.
  21. How have people felt while giving up? I had very mild headaches which I wondered might be down to alcohol withdrawal. Generally go after about 4 days post alcohol. But feel more energetic, especially in the early evening where usually I'd be falling asleep on the tube going home.
  22. I'm going to start trying the 0% beers. Have a feeling I won't like them loads but really as long as I'm holding a beer coloured liquid in a pint glass I'll probably not even notice. The thing that worries me is that I'll be too tempted to go onto something else...
  23. Usually about 3-4 pints on either day. Not loads but I want to cut it out completely to be honest. I find drinking at home easy to avoid, but when I'm in a pub I find it harder to leave.
  24. Just read this. I'm so sorry. Thank you for sharing, it can't have been easy. I hope you and your daughter are doing well.
  25. So I'm trying to do this. At the moment I've managed to cut it out apart from a Friday or Saturday (was bad last week and did both). Would like now to try and do 2 weeks completely without. Have to say I don't really miss the beer. The taste, the feeling of being slightly drunk. And I thought I loved beer. But I miss pubs, and being in them is probably the most dangerous thing for me. I find it harder to have 1 than to have 0. Would be interested to hear other people's experiences.
