To be fair we've been crap since Wrexham fans got into football

Trogir is a pretty town in Dalmatia that is a good base and possibly calmer than Split and certainly Dubrovnik

Foxestalk's second favourite team.... vs Wrexham

Not at all with all the possible day trips. Even Rome is only like an hour and a half by train.

I don't really understand if Trump ultimately wants Europe to put troops in and defend Greenland or not?

Did you have to show them your foxestalk posting history when entering the country? Their thoughts on Cifuentes?

New foxestalk sig just dropped

Friday nights must be dull in Hampstead

Jenrick isn't a fascist but he would definitely be the first to 'go Nazi' if such an event developed in the UK

Were hardly a great ally anyway

According to the article I read, multiple women complained about Henderson's conduct. Perhaps that started in 2023, perhaps nurses who started later were the ones who had issues, or maybe it really was "politically motivated", though that seems unlikely to me. Your wider point seems to be that stuff like this shouldn't matter to people and us a distraction from real issues, which seems very unrealistic to me.

Stuff like men being able to use female changing rooms is probably a bigger deal for a lot of people than small fluctuations in GDP or employment rates because it is such a fundamental change to what people are used to. Economic problems you kind of come to expect and aren't as big a deal to a lot of people as some think.

Great pub. I think Sheffield is the only city in Britain bar maybe Edinburgh where I've never met anyone that dislikes the place.

I feel it's almost inevitable that at some point in the near future Reform are going to complain that we don't get European migrants any more.

Florence is great, you won't regret it. Yes there are tourists but for good reason, the art and architecture is world class. Love it very early in the morning in a locals cafe in some back street with a brioche and espresso.

The TV never turned itself on again but the hall light would flick on and off without anyone moving, which I told myself was due to a faulty sensor. An interesting update on this though... We left the flat about 3 months ago. We're sitting having a coffee this afternoon and my girlfriend gets a text from her old landlord apologising that he was about to ask such a strange question. Basically the new tenant is refusing to stay in the flat claiming that she wakes up at midnight - 2am (roughly the time our spooky happenings took place) feeling heavy, unable to sleep and with a sense that she's being watched. He asked us if we'd ever experienced anything similar. My girlfriend then takes the opportunity to tell me that when she moved in in 2019 she found a small wooden cross in the wardrobe that she didn't touch (she's very Orthodox and superstitious) and that a couple of months later a group of old people called at the house asking after the old lady that lived there before, whom we'd never met and had no idea of the whereabouts. We had a great time there and never experienced any bad vibes apart from the weird occurrences with the electrics, so maybe the ghost liked us and not the new tenant?

It was in reply to "the far left love Islam" which is obviously false in the context of Iran and the Middle East which is what was being discussed. Not sure there are words in the English language to adequately describe how irrelevant Zara Sultana is in this context.

The Iranian regime has also mass murdered socialists and communists. Not sure how the 'far left and radical Islam are in bed together' trope has really come about unless it's again just people over generalizing based on a few cranks they're exposed to by mass media.
