We've been an embarrassment today. I can't really say a lot more than that; feeling so deflated by this absolute shower.

It was one incident that my old man always went on about, think that's why he never liked Chelsea as well the fact that my Mum's brothers supported them. Chelsea were always lamented at that time for introducing masses of foreign players to the English game and bringing their more shall we say, continental approach to the game with them.

On the basis of losing the way we did against Palace and stuttering to draws against Swansea and Stoke, I'd say that we really can't consider the run-in easy until we actually start producing results against said 'easier' opponents. What I want to see above all else at long fvcking last is a win against Arsenal; get that sorted and I can call this a successful season!

Personally I think we may need to bite the bullet with this one. He scored goals in a team where the build up play enabled him to capitalise on opportunities mostly in the box; we need a lot more than that from a player that clearly lacks to the pace and directness of someone like JV and we can't really be carrying passengers/mavericks whilst we wait for them to have their big moment.

Palermo?

Good energy, makes some good challenges and takes the ball forward well but at times his distribution is questionable. Having said that for a 21 year old, he's got some good attributes and lots of time to develop; having a solid experienced head alongside him will aid his progress so much.

I know he's had his best days but Lennon wouldn't be terrible back up in the wide positions. Cabaye could be useful if our midfield options get cut short in the summer as well, many others don't really catch the eye.

Don't think I invested a great deal of time into new releases last year, think I missed out on quite a bit in the end. Got lots of catching up to do and probably need to re-immerse myself into new stuff.

Big fan of the bloke, a lot of what he does goes unrewarded. He's got a great delivery on him and tracks back really well for a winger. Why he hasn't had an England call up is beyond me when you see some of the names that have been in there in recent months!

This perfectly highlights just how much a new right back is needed. No more square pegs in round holes!

Can't see a good result for us I'm afraid. When this lot get the bit between the teeth, that front four tears teams apart. Got to be positive and hassle them from the off otherwise we'll be on a hiding to nothing.
