Pocket the loose change and have a season saving on the salaries. If we're in a good position come January then maybe look to invest then Not particularly worried.. we have a strong enough squad as it is.. as long as we get someone that's not scared of scoring goals in then we'll score for fun

Back up for Jacob for when Mads goes. Probably want a 2 year deal though which I'd be sceptical about. Ideally a one year deal with a second year if he hits 15 appearances.. only achievable if Jacob crashes out or gets injured. Any money from Mads will just clear a few debts with hopefully a little accessible to go towards a 9

Coady will leave. He's brilliant at talking crap and sucking up to managers so Russell will take him fortunately We're stuck with Vesty Winks and Skipp though I reckon Okoli could fetch the 12 we bought him for, that's about it though

If it does turn out to be maximum of 9 points, I'd take that as a win. If Marti can stabilise whats left of the current crop, with 2 maybe 3 new recruits (loans most likely) then I'd be more than confident of a shout at the top 6. Top 2 was always a struggle anyway, I fancy Ipswich to run away with it, then after the window it'll be much of a muchness between us, Sheffield United, Birmingham and Southampton before a deduction. Definitely keeps us competitive for the top 6 though. Will be out the bottom 3 by match day 10

We'd need a keeper to challenge Jacob and striker, but I think we could do without another CM The three at the back will do well, especially with Souttar due back around Christmas too.
