Alves, Braybrooke, Nelson, Golding, Abdul and any half decent academy prospects need to be given the minutes. Hozlek would've been decent and Zaha is about the only over 30 player that would improve us. Unless we can realistically get a decent player In mid 20s or lower then don't bother. We've got players like Coady and Vestergaard swallowing up squad spaces, and utter shite like Daka and Soumare that we can't move on.. we don't need to be adding more like Ayew etc to that list. We've a terrible team behind the scenes, on paper an atrocious squad and massive faves for the drop. Clubs facing a deduction and has limited funds. Noone half decent will want to come here so just end the window for us now and blood the youth.

Honestly reckon we could see a double figures against aswell in a game. Hate being pessimistic about us, but this is the first year that I simply can't see any positives. Just need to take it as an opportunity to give the young lads minutes. We've added Okoli and extended Vestergaards contract, and yet the defence seems weaker for it as its preventing us having space to actually bring in anyone decent. I'd rather had a proper look at Souttar until January. Signed up Abdul which is good at least, but he was already here and added Bobby De Cordova Reid.. yet haven't replaced Kiernan so we appear to have no creativity up top. Probably got the most defensive looking midfield options in the league but with no actual Premier league ability. We could play 3 holding midfielders and 4 at the back and still get pummelled. Problem is it stems right from the very Top, need a full rebuild. Cooper works well with young players.. just instruct him to start at least 3 academy graduates every game to get experience (even if it's being battered) and sack the season off. Hope I'm wrong and we survive but got to be realistic

We don't have any relegation rivals. We're rock bottom and miles adrift.. that's exactly how this seasons going to go, with or without a points deduction. Personally, I think this late in the day we'll only pay over the odds, or bring in older rubbish like Ayew and be stuck with them for 3 years. Just play the youth, take the money and drop down and come back again in 2 years stronger

Agree. I can't see this lot surpassing 20 points. Give us 10 points deduction now, don't fight it. Then any hope of staying ups lost. Take the EPL money and the parachute .. blood the youth and come back in 2 years stronger. At the moment we're a shambles so rather than embarrass ourselves.. take the hit and use it as an excuse

Deflated is mild in my opinion. I'd resigned myself to relegation weeks ago, but with recent events off the field.. ie not bringing in any quality and looking so disjointed in pre season.. this is going to be one horror season. Records could go with our defence. There's just no ambition at all, even if we are stumped for cash it's embarrassing what we're doing. Personally I think the club no needs to know our position and give minutes to the youth ready for next season. On a brighter note, I have a feeling the white kit coming out tomorrow's going to be spot on at least.. probably going to be a season highlight😂

Yea I get what you're saying with that and already had that in mind. But for what we have at our disposal it may be worth the risk The squads turgid and currently has no hope of staying up. But it might well just be a case of get destroyed and embarrassed for a season, take the EPL cash, go down and try bounce straight back up and hit the ground running in 2 years. I agree 11m for a seasons a lot, especially when he could end up injured If it becomes a case of its too expensive to complete. . I'd rather just give minutes to the young lads and blood them ready for the championship.. really ain't looking forward to this season

Having the squad listed likes that just reminds me how poor a squad we have for the EPL. Really hope this Hozlek guy and Zaha do come in and stay fit because we're going to be extremely reliant on them.

In answer to question one.. yes Question two .. possibly. If he wants to come back to England and prove he still has the ability and we are the only option If he comes, he improves the starting 11. He'd be our best option in the any of our attacking positions, except the 9 when Vards is on his game.
