Great premise, poor execution. Looking back at it, I can see why it was cancelled. The plot progression is excruciatingly slow, they're milking every scene in every episode. It becomes very soap opera-ish. Dialogue is also sub-par. Plus, it lacks the alien threat looming over everyone's head. This is a show that could've used more (practical) SFX.

Reunion (the US series). Cancelled after only 9 episodes (out of 13), with the mystery remaining unsolved. One of the most bizarre TV exec decisions ever.

Not comparable. X-Files was and still is way bigger – and better.
