  1. Wonder goal afternoon today. When's the last time a Leicester player scored such a worldie from within the own half? 2-0 Fatawu.
  2. Our boy Bobby! Shot completely out of nowhere. 1-0. He's turning into our main goalscoring threat. Who'd have thought?
  3. Officially applied for the random ticket draw. Would love to catch Canada vs. Switzerland live at BC Place. Haven't been to VanCity in more than 15 years.
  4. We're doing a Sheffield United this half. 3-0. James with his toes. Did he actually touch the ball? G'won.
  5. Oli, Oli, Oli. 2-0. Wow, I did not expect such a start.
  6. So there's still character in this squad, after all. More of this, please.
  7. Fixed it for you.
  8. I'll make a bold prediction: Should England beat Ghana in that group, they'll go on and win the thing. EDIT: That's on me for reading the BBC headline wrong.
  9. Canada Switzerland Qatar Wales or N'Ireland Decent draw, that. Now, if only it wasn''t for the extremely excruciating process of applying for tickets. Followed by ticket prices and travel costs...
  10. Went to see Barry Lyndon in 4K in a theatre yesterday. Gorgeous movie at 50. And what a cast.
  11. Brentford FC have collaborated with Hard-Fi:
  12. The BBC can't even be arsed to report on it.
  13. Against managers with hair: 6 matches, 1 goal Against baldies: 3 matches 3 goals
  14. Great goal, great composure. Vintage Vardy.
  15. Starting again tonight. Am I the only one who takes more pleasure from watching Vardy at Cremonese than watching the City play?
  16. Absolutely does. Mostly because it's by Adidas.
  17. Servette FC celebrating 420 years of Geneva fending off the Duke of Savoy:
  18. What brain?
  19. The team is bad, with a few flickers of hope (James for example, Fatawu, or even Mavididi). Our back four needs revamping (and has done so for months, even prior to this season). Faes is still here and thinks he's David Luiz (when he's definitely not). Our central midfield is the most expensive in the entire league, but Skipp and WInks have been (major) letdowns. The sooner Soumaré is gone, the better. Then there's Daka's scoring record. Yes, Cifuentes has inherited a lot of dross. However, I do expect a manager to introduce his own style of play. WIth Cifuentes, I see no such thing on the pitch. Again: What tactics does he deploy, what roles do his players have on the pitch? All I see are ten on-fielders passing the ball around, trying to make something happen. Our build-up play is so slow, There's little attacking intent, and most of the time, the aim is to play the ball to either winger. In the meantime, the remaining midfielders and our "striker" are so slow to get anywhere near the box, so it's all for nothing. Our attacks through the middle are super-rare. Imagine what we could do with a few more cut-through passes to Daka (or maybe even Carranza), just like against Stoke. Cifuentes wants us to play like Barcelona. Problem is, we don't have the players for it.
  20. CIfuentes doing his best turning us into another QPR.
  21. Notice how much better we played without Faes. 2-0 win.
  22. "Smashing bunch of lads" "Redoubling our training efforts" incoming.
  23. Marti can fly – back to Spain. Horrendous team, horrendous result. 3-0 down, and we're not even at half-time.
  24. Too much money, not enough sense left.
  25. Lots of empty seats. The club has lost its fans. All self-inflicted.
