  1. A club with a track record of avoidable relegations is going into a relegation battle without a CEO, technical director, commercial director. A squad full of loanees, youth and players with deals expiring. Perfect. KING POWER OUT
  2. Most of Man City's charges relate to 10 years ago under vastly different PSR/FFP rules. We've obfuscated and delayed just as they have but it's more complex, what what what about Man City does f ucking nothing to help force these charlatans out. You are a useful idiot to KP if you push this line
  3. No we pissed them off by breaking the rules and not doing the basics like submitting our accounts on time
  4. Dealt a mixed hand and played it badly. Very little doubt in my mind the club lied and f ucked him about though, so I have a tiny bit of sympathy. Post-Cooper I just find it difficult to be worked up by managers anymore. It's like being annoyed at the waiter because there's a hair in your soup; whilst Chewbacca is in the kitchen.
  5. Ah right, I knew it was something slightly disagreeable with Italian cuisine though! Yeah it makes sense northern Italy is good with cakes, a U shape around the Alps is like the pastry belt of Europe. I’m no coffee snob generally but the quality in Italy is really and unsurprisingly brilliant.
  6. I'm sure it's @bovril that said (paraphrasing) you'll get the worst pizza of your life in Italy. To this end I think Spanish food is incredibly underrated, it's always fantastically fresh and cheap.
  7. Anybody set up their own IPTV or whatever via a firestick? Don’t want to go down the route of a mate-of-a-mate type thing
  8. But KP were affected by Covid
  9. Yeah I’d concur with that. Sadly Italy has just never gripped me like I thought it would. I’ve been to Rome, Florence, La Spezia, Milan, Lecce and now Bologna so it’s not like I haven’t tried it. Perhaps I ought to go to Naples and Palermo, the wilder south does seem more exciting generally. I took more of a shine to Valletta than anywhere I’ve been to in Italy oddly. Maybe I’d like Corfu, Italian influence alongside the obvious Hellenic basis, pockmarked with Anglo touches.
  10. Tielemans was brilliant in his loan spell. Made the Puel side look good briefly - outstanding when Rodgers took over
  11. Broke my January duck in Bologna this weekend. Didn't see too much macro Italian stuff on draught generally. Most bars and for Italian standards, ...pubs tended to have local Italian craft pils on and they were easy drinking although I didn't believe the ABV on any of them, very lightweight.
  12. It's more likely he could be of use for us at this level than Richards will be - that's what I'm saying. If Richards has been brought in just because he's physical I'd rather play Opoku who is 24 and has 9 goals in 23 nineties than a lad that's never played a senior game.
  13. Who is back available? I don't really stay abreast of injury news tbh
  14. Looked like he had something about him in the limited minutes under Maresca. Shame we didn't see a bit more given he could play at RB and DM. Although even Rakihy looked like he might be a league standard player under Maresca in a well drilled system. These deals are fine and necessary to a a degree, but if we then spend money on a player to act as cover (no pun intended) and we barely play them we're so so so dumb. Would playing Masawanhise instead of signing Akgun, Nelson for Coady, Evans for Carranza got us ahead of where we are now both in squad and FFP? Yes.
  15. If we wanted a lump just recall Opoku. Hes played more senior football and scored some goals
  16. He’s good on The Rest Is Classified. I can’t get on with fiction generally but I’ve been devoted by his books
  17. Back from Bologna, more fun than the average Italian city because it has an established pub and (good) bar scene. Food very good but not exactly mesmerising. Walking Headed into Modena, Ferrari museum a bit expensive for what it is, a way to kill an hour. Pleasant change of pace however, architecturally surprisingly different.
  18. Tax and NI increases plus the most expensive energy costs in the world have made dining out inordinately pricey
  19. We used to be a very small club on the south coast
  20. We’re Southampton’s Wrexham ffs
  21. Oh right, probably even more downside to the deal then! We’ve not learned our lesson from the Reid, Ayew and Antonio fiascos. We signed Coady for muh leadership and look what that did. Sign players for tangible reasons please LCFC, it’s not much to ask for
  22. There’s probably a > 50% chance he gets injured and we don’t send him back. On paper yes I’m happy but his injury record is appalling. We already have one loanee crock.
  23. If we had Mukasa come through our system and Page was a Man City graduate (and 18), we’d sign Page on loan and play him instead. He looks like decent but more teenagers aren’t the answer.
  24. I’m in Italy this weekend, was supposed to be going to Cremonese but couldn’t get tickets. Watched the game in a bar instead, glad I missed it now - they were miles off it. They’re in trouble even if they’re 6 clear for now.
