I feel a bit sorry for Daka, supposed to be the heir to literally our best ever player and he joined right as the club decided to sell-implode. He's more of symptom in all of this than a cause. He's scored 24 goals (+17 assists) and started 69 games for us. Using 71 sub appearances (of which we were probably losing in most) as a stick to beat him with is a tiny bit unfair. He's not without his problems, poor balance, underdeveloped hold up ability and so on but we've not exactly helped him out.

Managers are willing to move even if they know they’ll be sacked. Especially if it’s a step up in division, literally or in reputation. If you’re on £250k a year at a League 1 club (probably less?) or say, Casa Pia - a short stint at Leicester and a £_m pay off advances your career more than it wards off any potential suitors for failing.
