  1. Take a loan out to sign him, worst case scenario we flip him for 3x the price.
  2. I’ve been weighing up a Paris trip for a while, maybe it’s just latent egomania but I’ve always thought I could make a better trip of it than the usual tourist cattle. It does actually seem hugely overlooked now.
  3. Admittedly only been to both once but preferred Spice Cube to GND
  4. That’s the 1 in 8 that keeps you hooked
  5. Imperious. Need to sort the contract
  6. I couldn’t pick a team to follow in the same way. I’d do the occasional Leicestershire non-league game. Follow Bochum and Vålerenga a bit more and get the away day fix with Leics CCC.
  7. Boring we have Croatia again and really not that long we had Panama.
  8. This is farcical
  9. Mexico twice in 2 in 5 cycles and then they co-host again 40 years later. Meanwhile we won't have hosted it for at least 72 years by 2038. Probably be a UK bid rather than an England one as well
  10. "Who would ever want to buy us!!!!??? Shitty shit club, Top must stay"
  11. The Craven Arms and the Kings Head have very similar garish wallpaper and carpet as well. They obviously got a good deal on the wallpaper
  12. I feel a bit sorry for Daka, supposed to be the heir to literally our best ever player and he joined right as the club decided to sell-implode. He's more of symptom in all of this than a cause. He's scored 24 goals (+17 assists) and started 69 games for us. Using 71 sub appearances (of which we were probably losing in most) as a stick to beat him with is a tiny bit unfair. He's not without his problems, poor balance, underdeveloped hold up ability and so on but we've not exactly helped him out.
  13. Like a lottery winner that's spent it all frivolously and didn't listen to their financial advisor and accountant. This is all fine though because Top's dad died 7 years ago. It's too much to expect us to not be worse than Wrexham or Hull
  14. Edwards went to Wolves - they’re in a similar mess (albeit basically us in late 22), the pay rise and even briefly managing a level up is attractive. Managers are willing to move even if they know they’ll be sacked. Especially if it’s a step up in division, literally or in reputation. If you’re on £250k a year at a League 1 club (probably less?) or say, Casa Pia - a short stint at Leicester and a £_m pay off advances your career more than it wards off any potential suitors for failing. Juric walked into a great job after being shit at Southampton. Russell Martin keeps failing upwards.
  15. The trouble is the appointment will be done by some executive search, just as we did with Glover. There's probably about a 20% chance they're both good appointments so 4% overall chance!
  16. Our fans have bit of masochistic view of the club sometimes. "Who would want come here!!!?? We're clueless, there is no project, we are the worstest club in the whole world!!" We're still pretty high up in the food chain in England and English football broadly is the apex. Probably >99% of managers in world football will be earning less than £20,000 p/w. The vast majority of managers across the world would jump at the chance to earn that. With the exception of maybe 7 or 8, every manager in the Dutch and Portuguese leagues would move to earn more money. Some take this myopic asymmetric view that we can't compete, it's all about the money, we can't keep academy players, it's just not fair et cetera - but we should do the same to clubs beneath our stature! That's before you factor in literally one of the best training facilities in the world, a productive academy set up, a 32k ground, some very good players to work with. The problem is we have a stupid, negligent twat as an owner and a stupid, negligent twat leading the footballing side. Even with these idiots in charge we could have a better manager than this mediocrity - we shouldn't settle just because there are bigger problems.
  17. Well recall him, see what he looks like in training and if he’s not up to it - send him on loan to L1. We need to integrate at least one other CM now as we only have Choudhury and Skipp contracted after this summer as senior CMs.
  18. Admittedly haven’t done half of those but I’ve always found it difficult to go from (good) pub to pub. No shortage of Represent clothing places in between though. I like the Bankers Cat but all new Thornbridge places looking the exact same detracts from the experience. The Grove and Adelphi are super though. Perhaps it’s just let down by the lack of a good mass transit system, nothing feels that coherent to me. Maybe I should do a specific day out, think I’ve only ever been for a gig/football
  19. Leeds' centre ought to be better imo. Whitelock's is great but it's a bit disparate after that. Lots of M&B, Craft Union and the the girlies chains everywhere.
  20. He'd have 4 goals at most by now - and we'd be saying it was best he left last season
  21. Went when it was M&P, beer was alright. Excluding Charnwood and the bigger county towns there are so few micro pubs in Leicestershire. Kirby is crying out for one .
  22. not loyal and not a patriot!!
  23. Recall Cartwright, see how he does in training and it might be worth giving him a go.
  24. Yeah, he’s a loon but he at least gives a shit
