The Running Thread (formerly How fast can you run a 5k?)
CosbehFox replied to Sly's topic in General Chat
That’s a daft cut off that. 50min is a huge target for anyone. Bit of a landmark time at 10k. Something like 55m woukd have been ideal. Personally I’d say **** it and go with the early one. You won’t be the last and just blag it -

Brilliant conditions for this weekend. I went around Hanley Parkrun in Stoke; on paper, should be rubbish but instead was a beautiful inner city park with some challenging hills (a lot worse out there). Best time of the year Then today cruised around for a 1hr 20 doing 14k. Just incrementally increasing my time on my feet etc. Feeling progress after a struggle at start of 2025 -

1874 Northwich 0 Highgate United 0 The curious tale of four club Northwich. You have Witton Albion who’ve been the strongest for some time but Northwich Victoria were once a Confetence club. That club went to pieces and split into two. 1874 was by the fans and Victoria still operate. There is no ground in outright Northwich though. 1874 play in Barnton, another club in the area at step 6. Both Northwich clubs are in the Midland Step 5 division now which I completed while living in Brum but now there’s four grounds I haven’t been. Had means of completing that dicision are now worthless as Victoria currently playing at Winsford, will play at Runcorn next season. Anyway a good 0-0 draw. The beauty of this pretty basic ground was the spring sunshine did us a favour. Highgate battling relegation, 1874 trying to remain in the playoffs. The away side worked their nads off and battled away. Two very harsh decisions went against them for winners. Love a game like this. Proper effort across the pitch. Sadly, results went against Highgate elsewhere and they are back in relegation zone. 1874 near certain for what will be a very competitive playoffs

Southern Central Premier again all over the shop but Kettering big winners and a disappointing result for Harborough. The top five beginning to pull away a little. Quorn now four wins away after Corby lose to Darlaston. Got Rushden in the week

At Cardiff, he’s lost more games than he’s won.

Trust Co-Chair Talks to Leicester Til I Die Podcast
CosbehFox replied to Foxes_Trust's topic in Leicester City Forum
Trust board members been on BSLB recently. In fact I can vouch as much that at the Trust AGM, someone came up to me and said that he’d joined off the back of my nonsense on the pod -
Off to watch 1874 Northwich in a bit - four teams/grounds to do in this division. Somehow Northwich has three football clubs and another club (Barnton) in a village nearby

Millionaire can’t pay for a dog sitter. Laughable. If the line about some players thinking others can do what they want is true, then the club is fcuked for years. Aiyawatt has born this culture by making players his mates and over rewarding them

Mika Biereth signed by Monaco from sturm Graz in January. He scored 11 in 16 for Sturm (continuing a trend of Danish strikers doing well) for them and he’s now on 7 goals in 6 for Monaco. He’s born in England and yet to be fully capped……while also described as the new Vardy !

Bologna having a lovely season after recovering from flogging all of their talent. Although Ndoye will go I suspect in the summer. Last nights game v Milan was the perfect demonstration of two clubs - one who are clever with transfers and have a sprinkle of Italian talent v no Italians and journeymen. Also keep an eye on Como, they have bubbled away nicely this season and think they will go up another level next year

English tifo/active fan group culture

Loved Barrow's effort last night v Carlisle. 'panic in the streets of Carlisle' - reference their potential relegation to non-league. Although they won 1-0 -
Yeah unreal. Needs to step down pronto

Ruud won't walk for two reasons. 1. Dollar 2. After walking out on one club, the look would not be good to do it a second time. -
Foxes Trust Calls for Ticket Price Freeze
CosbehFox replied to Foxes_Trust's topic in Leicester City Forum
Personal opinion - no but the position to advocate lowering them is severely challenged that we had sell outs back in 2023/24 and again on occasions this year. Just to make clear to, the letter calls on 'if the case of relegation, prices return to 23/24 figures. -
Foxes Trust Calls for Ticket Price Freeze
CosbehFox replied to Foxes_Trust's topic in Leicester City Forum
No I’m doing it on my personal opinion in reply to yourself. The club managed promotion on the same ticket prices, with a lower TV income on the previous EFL deal and a greater wage bill to pay for. -
Foxes Trust Calls for Ticket Price Freeze
CosbehFox replied to Foxes_Trust's topic in Leicester City Forum
That’s the clubs problem to manage. Not the fans. Fans shouldn’t be paying for the boards incompetent For info, the TV deal for the EFL is approx £60m per year more than it was on our last season in it -

The Cannon money was to make good to a situation caused in the summer with FFP. The club planned the summer expenditure with Cannon’s departure in mind but couldn’t get a transfer done in August, so loaned him
