  1. ITV player will have it
  2. The club would do well to read this thread
  3. Given the clear financial and logistical obstacles, you can’t judge anyone in recent years not to be any less of a fan if they can’t get to games
  4. I don't think we actually played that bad v Villa. But it really need scar us and turn us into bottlers
  5. You could name a lot of beginnings; possibly as far back as Bramall Lane on a mid-august evening, 1-1 and the away end singing 'we've got our Leicester back' Middlesbrough away though, 2-1 season opener was when the accelerator went on
  6. The one thing I am finding through work is a slightly reverse and sad realism in the post-COVID world. Hospitality is struggling with the NI & Business rates issues but there has been ripples in the office sector which haven't been felt for long time. Buildings stood empty for a couple of years are achieving lettings - the only reason I can think why is that some small WFH companies have been pushed out of their homes due to insurance changes. However, I hope that the increase on footfall in many cities starts to play into those industries suffering ie. hospitality. If you ever work away and end up staying in some bizarre places, they are a lifesaver. Although it makes me giggle on my very occasional visits over to Thetford, how some folk there dress like are going for a full blown night out
  7. It’s right to get the spot but don’t think it will happen. The FA Cup replays thing very much a part of that
  8. Yep. Four laps around the field. Some of which now has a gravel path but thr turning points on the grass slow you right now. Then four of those laps have you bombing around the school which is full of corners. it’s a novelty but I wont be rush back. Hard to say if you’ve got a decent time around there or not
  9. Yeah Hastings High School Parkrun isn't much cop. I suppose it was a novelty last Saturday in the mud mind.
  10. Don't piss the police off. Visit the Real Alcazar & Plaza de Espana. It's one of those places no plan aint a bad plan with its tapas bars
  11. Yep. Two years as a DoF of a mid table League One club with no notable success makes him prime picking for this role Id question how they heard of him for the job. If he was doing cracking at Bristol Rovwrs it would make sense but we’ve probably put feelers out with agents agai
  12. It’s what Man U fans play for every game (well the ones who aren’t season ticket holders)
  13. Don’t look at his past career in football
  14. I tell you the worst I’ve watched football at in the Black Country is Darlaston. Dreadful but may be a bit harsh on them cos of they are fan owned. Romulus’ Castle Vale is in an awful area of Brum as well
  15. I probably will but I know my Dad is ready to give his up.
  16. Think the division you are in now has a lot of the Notts clubs born out of miners & worker organisations, so their grounds are developed from back then. It's nonleaguemaps on twitter/x.
  17. Maddening we've given the time of day and money given we have had Ben Nelson in waiting for the past two seasons.
  18. We are bordering the Pub thread here - but here's my map of Bologna (& Modena & Emilio-Reggio) https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/edit?mid=1ovcAE0YYz008aYybYAHO2zto8GSbZJI&usp=sharing Via del Pratello on the west of the city towards Dall'Ara & the east towards the University where it gets really lively. Although Blackfire Pub was a really good vibe Note map is from last year so knowing Italy's rate for things closing, most of them are probably gone. My knack of finding a decent pub has ended up with mates asking me where to drink ala our very own COG on here.
  19. Was looking at the 25/26 projections https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1g6nATh9HOaIPQYXSLVD65EKsJaNNpCoSdBDN5YCbtCE/edit?gid=298024452#gid=298024452 Southern Central - going slightly most East - Needham Mkt back, Bury & Felixstowe in.
  20. As many know, big Bologna advocate here. Ideal base for any exploring Italy - you could do a good week using Bologna as HQ and see some decent places near and far. Biggest beer culture and you won't get a bad meal. Italy wise for me it's looking like Puglia at end of the year. Bari or Lecce as a base.
  21. Will be reduced by £10m to £15m though. Will be Year 2 - if 26/27 is the Championship that's when it gets really tough A huge reason why staying up this season is so big is that the Premier League is subject to a brand new TV deal which rewards everyone in the PL.
  22. You've left out a fair bit of detail there. You are correct on Daka & Soumare - but you don't mention Bertrand, Vestergaard or the obscene contracts. Who do you have as responsible for the relegation then? The club has no strategy. You can't change from a manager who's built a squad with his style of football in mind and then appoint Cooper who is such a different style of football. That's madness. That's the choice of Top & Rudkin.
  23. I find fundamentally there are reasons it's vital to stay up. Reasons that step away from PSR.
  24. It's vital we stay up but we are playing Russian roulette. Showing little transfer acumen in departures and reported wages of £80k to £100k being handed out. An absolute clusterfcuk of a summer window with Skipp (hilariously you commented how he will be okay in the Championship because he's been in the team of the year - yeah £20m spent on a player good enough for the Championship - Gabriel Sara cost Norwich £6 million for a similar quality and they doubled their money on him) and Edouard deal which has cost us at least £5m in a loan fee. Was the signing of Coady & Cannon at a combined £15m necessary? Coady on paper was a waste of time because he was proven to no longer be good enough for the Premier League. So we spent £7.5m and £70k p/wk on a player that had as much impact as our own Luke Nelson. Doyle, Casadei, Akgun on loan fees were bit part players in the end. The club has constantly been reactive in their planning which you elude to. Hence it catches up over time. You can't build a team over a transfer window. It's about evolving it over time. It's exactly the reason where we are here. The whole concept of 'yeah but it's alright because we will get promoted in the Championship' is a plaster to the clubs ills. We would enter the Premier League with less revenue than ever and a £61m allowance FFP loss. Severly impacting our ability to sign quality players.
  25. Yeah you are right. But for every Sheff U, take your pick from West Brom, Norwich, Stoke, Luton. Notably Sheff U and Burnley both got new owners around the time of their relegations, which I think is the key difference in terms of dedication to make it work. Three of those I named the owners become over washed with debt and had to cut back
