Living in the Past and The Impact on Today
CosbehFox replied to MattFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
Villa pre-match played a montage of games v Liverpool - found that more impactful. Excellent point - it shortens your ambition. Club constantly looking backwards. I know there's jokes about the club being N.Korea. My own opinion is that the club has been built in the mould of Thai democracy - the have's and have not's. However they have started to remind me of East Germany - this image of how stuff used to be -
It's like Succession. There's just too much they know to be fired. So we are in paralysis. You compare to any company of its size - it's not healthy to have the same rigid persons involved. Football club or not, there should always be some evolvement.

Villa fan told me this morning the same
-
Amazingly somehow Littlethorpe/Narborough station hasn't flooded this morning - does make you wonder how much is down to the drainage as they had extensive repairs after the last flood and it appears to have worked. Alas Cosby is as good as an island and saw flooding in Sharnford I'd never seen before

The voting numbers for UKIP at their height and Reform at the last election are roughly the same

The Victoria was ****ing splendid tonight. Lovely music, nice lighting, right type of busy
-
Okoli has agent signs - same agency as Cooper

I don’t care about Rudkin, he don’t care about me, All I care about…..is LCFC
-
On top of this a mate on his way to Fulham away was quizzed by five lads who he voted for and if he was a nonce…..
-
I only know my club. I only know what my club according to the minutes from the FAB and FCC are discussing. It gives them justification because it involves Leicester fans. I don’t necessarily agree with it but I see why the club want to enforce it.

Another lovely part of today
-
Ironically it was at a game of Shepshed at Harborough when heard a Dynamo fan say ‘I ****ing hate these and this ****ing place’

I know Dan as good as personally. IMO UFS carry the can a lot because they are happy to be vocal about where they sit etc and happy to put their name to things. Easy target for the club to focus on them and tag them as the issue by iverpolicing and overfocusing on them when in reality there’s a load of utter cocks who support us without good manners. A good chunk of the upper tier were in tears today cos they couldn’t have a beer in the ground. Watch the team and ****ing get behind them

I’ve saw one report of racism on Twitter by a decent lad as well who called out. One ‘away day fan’ account has shown a photo of stickers about Birmingham today in support of Tommy Robinson and ‘stop the boats’ the train stopped twice on the way back including a fifteen minute stop at Nuneaton with the Police getting involved. Forgot to mention when a 50 yr old bloke made a homophobic comment to a young lad today when he got off at Hinckley In the safe standing section today, I had next to me three lads standing in the place for two seats. This made it uncomfortable for the entire row and my near 70 dad, happy to stand, all game couldn’t see the pitch. When asked if he fancied moving to his assigned spot, the first threat was violence

We ain’t half got some disrespectful arseholes who supports. I’ll happily defend any Leicester fan but some of the behaviour I’ve seen today is exactly what gives the club all the opportunity to do ID tickets and why safe standing is a no go. Show some respect to fellow supporters and general members of the public

Can’t compare Cooper to now. He had a lot easier fixtures for starters. Thought Thomas was great today

Needs a bit more context than that. They lost their original ground - a cracker in the centre of the town but it was constantly flooded (like a lot of things in Worcester). The club essentially had to start again after years of playing at other grounds bankrupted them (Kidderminster, Bromsgrove). They play at Claines Lane (effectively Worcestershire’s Holmes Park) and it’s simply not adequate or any room to grow. With Sixways, they will get regularly four figures and can run their own events from it. It’s not ideal but it’s better than what they have

Yep undermine government, court system etc
-
Happy to report my Dsd mentioned at least three grandparents (from his bowls club!) taking their grandkids to the QPR game because of the price
-
Yeah in essence. Musk going after Jess Phillips who had zero involvement too. There was a chance of enquiry in 2021 which was turned down by the Tories. This is a complete swaying of truth. The sad lessons have been learnt. We aren’t seeing the sane appetite for Grenfell are we?

Easy to and from Bodymoor Heath probably the thinking there

Along with the bizarre ownership of the stadium - stadium owned by one party, changing rooms another, bar another.
