Not confident for the forthcoming season but I’m a miserable sod

Actually a lovely town Shrewsbury

Interesting press release The light gold oranges and extreme reds represent the potential colour palette to one of Leicester’s favourite dishes, the curry. Whilst the block black colour symbolises your orifice the next day

Concerns about the direction of the club

They might charge a hosting fee which is nominal but they want people in the ground at £12 + anything they buy at the ground. We've sold out our allocation at our end - but there's plenty of seats for Shrewsbury. -

Shrewsbury don't get the money. They are not streaming it. The money goes to the streaming party. -

Exactly. So how can clubs without the cash reserves or the media facilities of a Premier League club charge it out at £5? They'd be more likely to lose money from it. Especially when you consider say Ipswich are charging a £5 for their games too. -

Birmingham played them on Saturday and it was a fiver. Same when they play Derby on the forthcoming Saturday. -

Slightly disagree. It's more with the increase of capital, corporate investment and the people from that area realise that there is a captive audience whom will pay regardless. PSR can be solved by clubs not signing Dennis Praet type squad filler on high wages. -
Good example. Holding on for life now. I do feel once they drop from step 2, down they will go
-
looks like they are some North Korean citizens on Facebook ready to pay it
-
Yeah. I think your observation there is very spot on

I have looked five different clubs - all of them who I consider as a smaller club than ours (Derby, Birmingham, Ipswich, Bournemouth & Cardiff) - they are either charging a £5 a game to watch or have a package where you can watch multiple at approx £2 to 3 per game. Need I say more....

He's worked for King Power on a professional capacity. So feels the need to defend his client in the hope, he might get some more work. Can't subtract himself from this.

Concerns about the direction of the club

I didn't say anything about running down the club's achievement. I highlighted how incredibly unlikely and unique it was - I used the term near impossible. It is hard now to going against the financial winds to achieve success from a lower division and in each measure, that applies to the bottom of the table - if you are newly promoted side, it's harder than ever to surpass established top flight clubs to stay up. That's the current way of football in the last fifteen years and we beat it the system. Equally then getting relegated seven years after, two years after Cup success and a year after playing in Europe is rotten. Your revenues are way higher than the majority of the league. That's a major failure. Using examples from the 1950s, 1960s and 1980s to 'lessen' the failure isn't an appropriate comparison. Clubs in that era didn't have such a financial imbalance to fight against. Winning the league didn't mean shedloads of money to protect yourself and teams entering the league were on an even level. So examples of Championship winning Wolves in 1950s being relegated a few years later is an example of the same major failure that happened at LCFC. -
There’s some irony really that Enzo got the club to turn down the chance to play in the US. However, we instead up doing three away trips involving flights (or train unlikely mind) to mainland Europe.

Tbf in a completely different era where the financial imbalance wasn’t so large. In the case of Liverpool you are using a relegation suffered in 1953! On the same notion, they got promoted in 1962 and won the league in 1964, which is near impossible now Any team winning a trophy has a significant advantage over other clubs because of financial rules etc. -
Exactly my point. Harborough can be accused of spending money on players but they have a facility which has a legacy. Can’t say the same for say Spalding for example

I think the admittance of errors last summer would have gone well. -
Going to be fun looking at those accounts. They are incredibly dim. They could have literally released a story about where the money was going and won a load of goodwill in the process
-
Highly likely it's that location because it's Palermo who are 'hosting' and they are going to be based at Manchester City's training facility, so this isn't far equal distance. Real Betis used Chesterfield last two summers.

Have a look what happened last summer.....

He did early doors - which has led some quotes now which are quite cringe worthy
