  1. Agrees the transfer fees you know that but you’ll be purposely obtuse for the argument
  2. You have said that the January transfer window is when values of players high. Except it wasn't this January. There was no offer of value in January. The one which the club received was under it.There was no major interest in anyone else. Therefore club prioritise promotion, secure the finance of the PL and see a player in June to reach FFP target when interest may be higher as other clubs realise their FFP room. Very, very similar to Maddison last season. We could have sold in a very buoyant January 2023 market but held off. I am sure we are boring everyone now, so I'll park it there.
  3. Maresca had no say in not signing Sensi. More rather time ran out. I am not following your rationale. There was nil transfer market in January - the traditional market didn't occur. And yet Brighton decided to throw an offer in for KDH under the market value. If we need to comply with FFP, we need to guarantee promotion first and foremost. The situation is very similar to last season when we sold Maddison in June. But we didn't sell in January as there was a need to try and stay up firstly.
  4. Other massive criticism of Rudkin on FFP is the price we’ve bought players at. The amortisation factor creates a legacy of past shitty deals still hurting us now, even though it’s outside of the years period where FFP is assessed. Loaning players out is fine until you’ve reduced the price of your asset and you badly need the cold cash of a transfer fee against your FFP loss.
  5. Yeah so if we wanted to sell a player to comply for FFP, why would we sell this January given the points deductions scenario? FFP runs until end of June so club would sell when the buyer’s market is higher.
  6. The old term don't fall in love with a loan player applies here. Stay away - invest some dollar elsewhere.
  7. We will see a different - one more technically better but I think a lot of creative midfielders would have struggled on their own personal performance this season for LCFC. Simply because the majority of opposition is so defensively minded. We all saw what happened on Saturday when a team presses but normally we don't get that room rather we have to bring them onto us
  8. I don’t know if you’ve noticed transfers were significantly down in January. Still had one club try to lowball us because they are aware of our FFP position. The massive reduction in wages won’t matter or the Prem money. Damage is done in that regard. FFP is always looking back on your accounts rather than what you are projected. Inversely that means we are being held to a standard on this year’s PSR of being in the PL for three years and the last year of revenue for European football.
  9. Something I have been told. You know it better than most CHF. But when you consider our losses for the PSR period are going to be around £216 million (allowing a £60m loss this season - figure which clubs recently in similar scenarios have lost) and the £83m allowable FFP loss. That’s a ratio of 38% and the Ev’s recent punished calculation was 31% with a huge load of dough going on their new stadium (£400m into £129m FFP loss).
  10. We won’t know until December if they have played it right when accounts get submitted off to PL. I think we will have to sell someone by end of June. The knock down in allowable losses is hurting us and going to hurt for the next few seasons.
  11. Alty tbf is a lovely town. The market there is superb
  12. You’ll have to wait and see on that one.
  13. I’d do a documentary series on anyone what did Sunderland and Hull away…spending five days in those cities and the places in between. You’d be a completely different person by the end of the week
  14. With you on this, get pass that spell and it will dictate how much work we’ve got to do.
  15. Fair play to Coalville - doing a favour there to the new Nuneaton club Be surprised if they are that tone deaf at Owen St. They should look fresh like Banbury and Mickleover did/have done.
  16. Yet exactly the same tune and similar lyrics are bashed out by Man U week after week. Your obsession on one chant is absolutely hilarious
  17. About a month.
  18. Looks up the team he supports….Coventry. These ****ers lost yesterday and I’ve seen some many comments which are pot kettle black from our result
  19. Bromsgrove gone for a change as well
  20. It’s enough points for the last ten seasons on average! 4 more wins is about the last ten season average for promotion. I am struggling to think when three clubs of this size have come down at the same time. That’s the key difference
  21. Brilliant that a bloke who tweets in Spanish gives us more info than the club itself
  22. Went Oadby GNG v Aylestone - home side were good for first half and making Billy Kee looking like anything other than an ex professional. Eventually AP got their shit together - big game next at home for them v Wellingborough. That division cooking up nicely
