When I think of what Rodgers did for the club, I think of Danny Ward in goal for 26 PL games and that goodwill evaporates. We played some very good football and achieved very good things. I’d also say we played some of the bottle-less and mentally weak football - to the point I’ve think it was the most annoyed I’ve ever been with a Leicester team - Legia away and Forest away immediately spring to mind.

Haven’t disagreed with that at all. In fact told everyone in my Birmingham based office that they are the bigger story in the championship this season. But Ipswich fans on social media are playing up to some small club staging. They have a decent budget with cash rich owners. Their history is that of a club which has won major honours in relatively recent times. This is where they belong

It is a good story but the 'little old' Ipswich line their fans are playing is largely bollocks. They are a decent size club which should be in the top ten of the second tier

What’s particularly boring about the squad value / budget argument is that it’s just the cold hard fact of history. If Ipswich get promoted they will make signings, their squad value will go up. Will that mean if they are relegated we will see similar tweets about them compared to say Portsmouth in 2025/26? Alongside that transfer fees etc are largely contextual to the moment.

@StriderHiryu What you think of Ipswich’s use of Chaplin and getting one of centre backs to go out of shape? They kept getting Vestergaard to follow and left significant gaps for quick one/two’s. Also they had Harness come away from his wing which Ricardo had to follow. This neutralised Fatawu whom spent good parts of the game having to play RB and cover Leif Davis at LB
